As a professional horticulturist I find it so disheartening that peat is still being widely used. Why?
I am a director of a wholesale production nursery that successfully went
#peatfree
in 2005. So don't use the diminished quality argument on me. Stop using peat now

Lot's of newbie runners out and about this morning. Which is great.
Seasoned runners show the newbies some ❤ when you see them. The cheerful hello can do wonders for fragile confidence.

I friends car has just been hit by a falling tree while driving on the A40. She's unhurt and has now been recovered.
It's wild out there. My suggestion is if you don't have to travel then don't. Stay at home.

My wife's diagnosis of
#OvarianCancer
was delayed by five weeks because a male locum GP said it was menopausal bloating. A regular practice GP eventually arranged a test that confirmed stage 4 cancer. All GPs need to take middle-aged women seriously.

My first Joe Wicks workout. 16 yr bullied me into it ( she does them religiously every morning) Actually enjoyed it but don't tell her that.

Not that my opinion counts for anything but my favourite politician of 2018 has to be

👍
Don't always agree with Jess but as conviction politicians go hard to beat.
More politicians like Jess in 2019 please.
If my MP Mr Kawczynski is serious about rebuilding his relationship with his Shrewsbury constituents he could start by unblocking the many constituents he has blocked over the last 18 months.
If someone not blocked by him could forward this to him I would be most grateful.

Coleham flooding 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022
I have lived in
#Shrewsbury
since 1993, and to state the blindingly obvious, the flooding has been much more frequent and worse in recent years.
Our esteemed MP
#DanielKawczynski
says flood alleviation is a priority. Is it?
It is hard to over play the
#NorthShropshire
result. I have lived and worked in Oswestry. I have family and friends in Oswestry. I have never seen Oswestry as anything other than rock solid Conservative.
This result is stunning absolutely stunning. Happy doesn't really cover it
A sunny walk-about with MP Helen Morgan this morning, discussing how to level up Oswestry and, tbh, showing off our bustling town a little bit. Highly constructive and refreshing to now have such an active MP, genuinely interested in getting the best for people across N Shrops.
Another glorious run in the Shropshire hills. 8 miles, 1400 ft of climbing 😃. Sorry to keep banging on about how good Shropshire is.

Met two blokes this afternoon in Shrewsbury while riding my bike.
One stood in the middle of the road and forced me to slow and maneuver around him. When I asked why, his mate came across kicked my bike to the ground and threatened to assault me.
Incident has been reported.
Earlier this year, my wife died a good death
@severnhospice
The care was exceptional. This care should be available to all with a terminal illness. Hospice care should be properly funded and not reliant on the generosity of folk.
Do you agree?
Insufficient funding means many hospices are struggling to keep up with inflation and rising costs.
This must change so hospices are able to continue to provide their vital services for dying people now and in the future.
Thank you
@BBCr4today
for raising this important issue.
It was a hot one 🥵. Snowdon Half (3,800ft of ascent) done and dusted. Excellent race organisation by

My MP Daniel Kawczynski has just blocked me for making the following comment "Wrong, wrong, so very wrong. You need to read the room". Regarding his latest tweet on the proposed NWRR.
Please can you advise whether you think my comment is offensive or personally insulting.

@HuwMerriman
came across as dangerous this morning.
Children wearing face coverings in communal areas at schools makes a lot of sense. And quite frankly school staff and children would be reassured.
Observation, there are now seven empty retail units available for let or purchase on Pride Hill Shrewsbury. That's seven on the towns premier shopping street. Makes you think.
It's a wrap. Hit my mileage target for the year early 😀. 1200 miles done and dusted. Time to celebrate with substantial amounts of cake. Go me.

A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year, and may support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Let's look after the trees 🌳 Via

Nothing better than two old boys going for a socially distanced run. Muddy fields, snowy fells and icy roads. Glorious. We have been running together since 1986. It's a state of mind, it's a state of friendship.

Thank you in anticipation.

Well, I still like buying my rail tickets from an actual person. I also don't mind queuing to buy my ticket. A bit of old-fashioned human interaction. I fear we will miss it once it is gone.
Change isn't necessarily good.

My running year.

Sun, rain, snow, light, dark.
