@b0nelesstoaster So you’re taking someone’s art and disrespecting it and the artist by changing it bc you didn’t like how it looked before?

@ChibiReviews Welcome to the Twitter where normal means racism, homophobia, false accusations, watering down serious terms for anime and death threats over fictional stories/characters.

@AntisOTD There’s no way that person is serious right? They would get attacked by their own anti peers if they found out that person wrote that. At this point I think the term “proshipper” is seen on the same level as “pedophile” and that’s absolutely disgusting and disheartening.

@sashcascade I mean logically the solution to the lack of a certain fic is to write said lacking fic, or commission someone to write it etc. It’s not gonna be written bc people see others crying about it, it’s gonna make people not want to write for the ones who complain.

@JujutsuTwts For the people surprised at the “weird” ships being at the top, it’s bc Japan doesn’t have this weird puritan mindset where everyone thinks fictional ships and content has to be morally correct, they understand it’s not real and just have fun with make believe stuff.

@skyebatungbakal “Please tell me how old the character is so I know if I have to harass others over the nsfw!” . That’s how they sound lmao.

@gorthhomones @emikumaarts @skyebatungbakal Actually people you don’t know online are not obligated to be nice to you, if the said topic is uncomfortable you should curate your online space and block the people talking about said thing to you, not tell them how to act.

@justThemys Always wanna blame the content they saw and not the issue of the adults in their life who were supposed to keep them away from stuff like that, monitor your children! I can’t imagine the iPad kids nowadays when they get old enough to use Twitter.

@mineneguuro When I was in middle SabCiel was the most popular ship and no one cared because it’s not real. Can we just go back to that time where people were allowed to have fun and there weren’t people standing over you waiting for you to “like something problematic”.

Did we forget that, about 8 years ago we would jokingly recommend “boku no pico” to people who ask for anime recommendations? Now we have people grasping at straws for twt clout, what’s next? We attacking sailor moon for skimpy skirts worn by high schoolers? Fucking hell.
Ready yourselves, because I'm tackling the super weird and creepy anime/manga that everyone blissfully forgot. But now I'm bringing it back to talk about the weird groomer vibes and inappropriate age-gaps. If you remember this series, I'm very sorry. #loveless #anime #manga

@skyebatungbakal That goes against their hivemind thought process tho! If someone has an opinion that goes against what they think that person is automatically terrible!.

@_StrangeFox_ @WildcardJack47 @Morcoroni That’s what antis turn it into, proship is the belief that people should be able to draw/write whatever they want without harassment. Basically don’t harass people over things that aren’t real.

“You can’t play make believe like that I don’t like it!” . Yeah that doesn’t sound very normal to me, sounds like the type of kid my mother wouldn’t let me play with when I was a child bc they’re mean and bossy.
@TenebraIse @tukka_tukka Fancop = normal fucking person.

Fiction affects reality, as much as you let it affect your reality. When people say “fiction doesn’t affect reality” no one means that as a literal “nothing.” . It means no regular, mentally sane person is going to see something fictional that’s bad and go recreate it.
some of this was wordered incorrectly. no one is more or less a victim based on their views. but it is important to know FICTION DOES AFFECT REALITY. propaganda history is such an obvious manner on how. this is why characitures are bad, if fiction didnt affect reality why care?.

@poluncertified Non con is a fairly common sexual fantasy I hate to break it to you. You’re allowed to be uncomfortable and not want to see things like this but it is a common way people cope with experiences etc as well, so how about blocking next time instead it’ll save you some time.

“It was unfortunately animated” okay so you’d rather him have real CSEM/CSAM and be causing harm to a child?? Who tf cares if he has some animated loli shit? (Assuming its loli bc that’s what you all like to complain is a problem) you don’t have to like it just get a real problem.
@HazelAppleyard_ I had an ex who I discovered with CP (it was unfortunately animated so the police did not care). I might get banned from this platform if I reveal what I said to him when I found out. He skipped town never to return and I told everyone, including the police just in case, God.

@poluncertified Also the proship in your content warning is funny asf, it basically says “CW // people who believe that fiction doesn’t reflect your morales and people shouldn’t be harassed for the fiction they enjoy”.

@cielstelle They’re now drawing the line at the most basic fantasy ship??? wtf are fandom spaces becoming.

@bearbrandmilkk At this point I assume all antis are fan cops that are used to policing eachother so they think it’ll work on the mentally stable adults who create/consume whatever they want, and they can’t comprehend when we aren’t sacred into going private etc.

@skyebatungbakal I qrted them about how my own father doesn’t care about my problematic ships and he blocked me without responding. So now it’s easy to block what you don’t like it seems.

@tukka_tukka Right?? Like I understand not personally shipping something but I’ll never understand hating a ship to the point you can’t even look at it. No hate to people who are like taht i just don’t get it, it’s just characters lol.

@ProblematicJust @tropotropotropo Oh they def care about the incest more. When it comes to sexual things in fiction it’s always “worse” than the murder, torture etc, ya know the things meant to freak people out. But no the “bad things” are the sexual stuff, not murder 🤓.

“Proships” dont exist actually, the word proship means an understanding to just not interact with things you don’t like, don’t like don’t read etc, and the belief that people shouldn’t be harassed over fiction. The prefix “pro” meaning “in favor of” shipping (cont).

@peculiauds As those books are being marketed to adult audiences, the average adult women can indeed tell the different between what is and isn’t okay. If some 12 year old had the book then yeah it’s an issue.

@QueenofMars44 Proships aren’t real, it’s not a noun or verb. Being proship is just believing in fictional freedom without harassment. The Internet nowadays tries to make the term proship mean you only like problematic stuff which just isn’t true.

@57akino If you’re talking about the creator of Boyfriends (I’m guessing from the art style) he did that while underage himself and was not informed that was not an okay thing to do given his upbringing. He has apologized since becoming older and realizing it was not okay.

@Adambutbased @Caedgravity “Proshipping” doesn’t exist, it’s not an act. It’s the mindset of “don’t like don’t interact” and “mind your business about things your don’t like,” essentially it’s “anti harassment over fiction” but the meaning has been twisted by assumptions and misinformation.

@skippyran32 @JujutsuTwts Being a pedo is being attracted to children, when talking about JJK ships there are no children involved, these are fictional characters, not real breathing humans. I’m not some Japan fan boy who thinks they do no wrong, but when it’s something as stupid as ships w/ characters-.

@elephantbunker It’s seems pretty clear to me what’s being said, if you treat people like fictional characters you’re dehumanizing them in the sense you’re treating them as less than human.

The amount of times I’ve seen someone “x character would not do/act like that” is insane. People don’t understand that fan art/fiction doesnt have to revolve around the con on story at all. Looking at you dungeon meshi fandom.
I'm sorry, but I do not and will never comply with the "fandom rules" when it comes to sexualizing fictional characters. They're literally objects. They're digital dolls meant to be played with and people playing them differently than you should be none of your concern.

@ClownHearts_ @poluncertified Hitting yourself is causing harm, coping with fiction and things that aren’t real isn’t causing harm. Tho it doesn’t have to be a coping mechanism it could just be a kink.

@AshAckerman607 @JujutsuTwts Because some people enjoy exploring dark themes in fiction, and some people don’t and that’s okay. Some people use fiction and shipping to cope with traumas and no one gets hurt through fictional stuff like shipping.

@bakenoraa I mean people who run others over in GTA aren’t condoning hitting people with cars, it’s just make believe stuff. It’s not for everyone and that’s fine but I’d suggest blocking so you don’t have to see it.

Proship is a label not a noun. You are proship if you don’t harass others for what make believe stuff they like and how they utilize fictional characters. Something can’t be “a proship,”but people can be proship. (Used the same as pro choice/pro life).

And? If people wanna ship it then ship it, it’s called playing pretend when you make up things for fun. You can go against cannon and play make believe, and even if he sees him as a brother figure in canon that doesn’t mean they’re blood related, so it’s not incest-.

It’s harmful to real children to compare real abuse to anime characters. You have a right to not like loli content bc you find it uncomfortable and that’s perfectly okay, but your opinion on that matter is not the law, and by saying this you’re comparing real abuse to anime chars.
Lolicon is Pedophilia. You are wanking it to children real or not. Fictional Pedophilia is still Pedophilia. If you like Loli you are a Pedophile. You have a moral obligation to not want to fuck children real or not. I will stand on this until the day I fucking die.

@bearbrandmilkk They also seem to have no issue harassing people if the person being harassed indulges in problematic fiction, that automatically puts people on the same level as a criminal in their minds lmao.

@ClownHearts_ @poluncertified Mental harm is possible yes, but having a fairly common kink (non con / CnC) isn’t harming anyone mentally. Not everyone likes it of course and you’re allowed to be uncomfortable, but a lot of people are into dark stuff when it comes to fiction and even foreplay, and it’s normal.

@pleniluneskies Because ships are make make believe shit that doesn’t matter in the real world, also it’s a ship chart, so ships will be on there even if you don’t like them.

13
@Chiitansamurai @wolfvvoods Proship is the belief that people shouldn’t be harassed over the things they enjoy in fiction. It does not mean they specifically ship immoral things, or like immoral things in general, it just means if they don’t like something they won’t harass people over it.
