Here it is, the team I used to reach 1811 in the March IC! Couldn't be happier with the way this experimental team performed. The only thing I would change about this team is Tsareena. I brought her fearing Grimsnarl without having realized Sneasel+Lunala deals with it well.

Guys, I did it. I'm in complete and utter shock.
I went from 2-2 to 5-2. Almost an exact replica of my climb through Roanoke.
+60 CP, 418/400 CP. I can't believe it.

I didn't come close to playing all my IC games, but this team performed extremely well. Peak Ho-Nala! Undefeated against Rinya Sun 8-0! With no events in the near future I'll be taking a short break, but I can't wait to design my next Ho-oh archetype :)

Spent this entire weekend in a basement grinding away at SwSh with like 15 of my best friends. Holy shit this was such a fun weekend! Raids, drinking games, battles, seeing people pop off with child-like excitement for the new games (mostly me 😅) was an unforgettable time.

Finally proving to myself that I'm capable of cutting a regional was something I really needed. I've been having doubts about my ability as a player for a while now, but this weekend absolutely shattered them.
I think I'm ready to cut Collinsville this year too :)

My first ever Worlds, ended up in 42nd after going 3-4 in day 2. I never once thought I'd make it so far.
Been using this team since January, I couldn't be happier with how it performed.

I just had the most positive interaction with my boss that I've had in a very long time. I've arranged to have my 40 hours be put in monday-thursday. This means on top of working full time, I'll be able to compete in VGC full time as well :)

Went X-3 at NAIC, had amazing resistance, and am really proud of how I played. 2-0d my last opponent, but the guy needed the win to go to worlds and I can't go this year so I gave it to him.
So technically X-4, and no invite, but I couldn't gatekeep someone when I couldn't go.

Just went top 16 at a Regional for the first time... I'm at a total loss for words. Every tournement seems to be milestone after milestone. Next step is cutting a Regional, and I know with the amazing support of my pals, you'll be seeing my name in bold :)

Was at the gym earlier today and decided to go for an 8:00 mile. Finished in 7:31. This may not seem like much, but my hernia held me back from running long distances my entire life. Having it fixed opens up all new possibilities in my life, I'm so happy 😭

My sincerest advice to anyone thinking of playing VGC, do it.
There's so much to gain at irl events. Most of the people there will just be happy to be playing Pokemon with one another. Even if worlds isn't feasibly, the lifelong friendships to be gained make it all worthwhile!

At the end of the day, TPCi is finally enforcing their own rules. That's insanely important for an Esports organization to truly remain reputable. It's heartbreaking seeing all the people blindsided by this change, but in the end, it's good for our circuit.
