@frome_maude @britishmuseum Incredibly lovely. I'd like to see (and feel!) these artworks face to face.

@DaveOB66 @BC_Yorkshire Thank you, that's really helpful. Cowslips grow along the hedge-bottoms on one of our Lincs nature sites, and we wondered if they would be overcome by the growth of the hedge, which we are not currently trimming. We'll monitor how they cope and consider some hedge work.

@AlanWatsonFeat1 We've been busy carrying out the winter pruning in our wildlife garden. I love the distinctiveness of the winter barks and buds, when I get so close up with them for a few hours at a time.

@MatthewOates76 Amazing creatures. I don't know how you find them when they are so well camouflaged.

@HWarlow It's seemed a long winter, still a way to go until spring. But... I've done a little gardening in the past few days, and the birds and squirrels are getting vocal and thinking about pairing up. So fire up the optimism molecules, summer WILL come again.

@FavColour_Green It's a great landscape feature too. One day when our trees are large enough to coppice, we will aim to have a deadhedge something approaching yours, to meander across the open spaces on our fields, or to surround a small copse.

@JimBeattie18 Thank you for the quote. I've been reading Virginia Woolf's journals for the last few weeks, and enjoy her observations and views on people and on life.

@Lancswildlife I've just potted on 225 wildflower plugs into 4 inch pots, and some of them are starting to relax in their larger spaces and grow a little. Mostly devil's-bit scabious, destined for our two local wildlife sites.

@pondsntrees @foxglovelane I know what you mean, some of our trees have their individual stories that only the two of us know. I hope that some of your stricken trees will be even more special to you because of this shared history.
