Late last night I saw the news that Flaco had passed away from a building collision
It seriously felt like I collided into a wall myself, just completely stunned to read those words
What an unfortunate tragedy, RIP Flaco😪🦉🧡We’ll miss you

I am so excited to share that I seen my very first pileated woodpecker!!🥳❤️
The rush I felt as I glanced out my window Friday afternoon was incredible, just absolutely stunned seeing this big guy in our tree. I never expected to see one out front, it was so awesome!!🤩
@BirdCentralPark
Well, here is the updated map of Flaco’s grand adventure!
Blue - Leaves East Village & spotted Nov 14 at 5th avenue across from the central park reservoir!
I finally photographed a pileated out in the wild!!❤️🎉It all lined up so perfectly yesterday!
As i’m walking down the trail I heard him pecking but took a few minutes to find him. I inched up & sat under him for 25 mins.
He might be making a nest cavity??

Had an unexpected visitor this morning!🤩
I opened up our front curtains…& saw a big blob sitting in our neighbors tree across the road!
Grabbed my camera & ran outside..I took this from the end of our driveway..tried to cross the road & it flew off on me🙃

I want to introduce to you guys someone veryy special…this is Lucy!🤍
She is a female leucistic house sparrow!!! This is the first leucistic bird i’ve ever seen…she showed up in our yard last Sunday & has been here everyday this week!
I have lots of Lucy pictures to share🙂🤍
We had our first baltimore oriole show up over the weekend!🖤🧡it looked like it was nipping at the crabapple flowers!
I have to get some grape jelly & oranges out this week!!
@joshuagates
@OceanGate
Wow if Josh is speaking out about this then you know something wasn’t right…this guy just went scuba diving into a flooded pyramid with 0 visibility & almost got lost in the second chamber..
We had a thunderstorm last week & I caught the craziest lightning bolt I ever have while taking a video!!!🤯⚡️
Click to see the full photo, & i’ll link the small video underneath this tweet!
Really happy with how this one turned out! The colors, the snowflakes, the background and other details. It all goes together very nicely!😌
I believe that’s a female dark eyed junco of the slate variety, the brown sides looks pretty good on her!
I can’t imagine if I actually saw the colors like this🫠the camera is doing some heavy lifting but I still saw the red in the sky & faint green pillars dancing around! So fricken happy the clouds stayed away for now!!!🥹
Noooo wayyyyy😱😳robins nest

!!
I was just cutting grass & when I rode next to our grape trellis…a robin flew out of it & scared me lol…I decided to take a look & found another 3 eggs🫠
I was following this summer azure around the yard as it flew from clover to clover…just like the spring azure, they neverrr open their wings when they’re stopped😑
I’ve been seeing some blue jays fighting with each other in the yard this week..saw them yesterday duking it out in the tree & today I found some feathers in the grass!💙
#ThursJay
Here’s one of the bald eagle photos from today!!🤩🦅
I could only get so close & my lens only does so much..but i’m still happy with some of the photos I got!😁
This one in the tree was just chilling, looking around, minding its own business! What a beautiful bird🙂
Omg wow! There’s a snapping turtle in our backyard ditch!!!🤯🫨this is the first time i’ve ever seen a turtle back here! How cool🙂
It rained yesterday..this ditch in our backyard is like a drain from around the area..I think it must have came up where it goes out of our yard!🤔
Well guys, this will be my last berry post…one last full container. There’s still some there but it’s definitely not much more…
So to commemorate & honor the amazing harvest I had this year, I made one of those life cycle pictures of the blackberry!🖤🫡
This is from my first encounter with the red tailed hawk last weekend. It was windy & it kept flying off from tree to tree. I might go back to this trail tomorrow & see if it’s still hanging around in the same area!
It’s that time of that week again, another

!❤️🖤🤍
I took this one during the last snow fall, mr downy flew up in the branches right outside my window!
I think this might be one of my top favorite pictures i’ve taken🥲
The monarch on some red clover & the beautiful clouds dotting the blue sky…I just wish I could have gotten a little closer to the monarch
A couple more from last night!🤩
The one on the left is my favorite!! The colors & patterns + the stars is so beautiful!!
The one on the right was looking straight up, so trippy! I only managed to get a few cool ones looking up, it like disappeared after I took them.
Well hellllloo gorgeouss!!😍💙
I am absolutely thrillled over the first indigo bunting to visit our yard!!!🥳💙I was in total shock to see it when I looked out my window!
They’re such a beautiful blue color🤩💙it was so amazing to see it up close, I got some nice shots of it!😄
The dead man’s fingers are back!!!🧟♂️
They look so creepy this time😳like a hand coming up out of the ground!!🤯
These things are so fricken cool. Some of you might remember them from last year, I found them in our yard!
This was exciting to see😌🖤they look great!
#FungiFriday
Gm & happy valentine’s day❣️this is still the closest picture of a cardinal kiss I’ve gotten, I haven’t seen them doing it in the yard as much as I used to.
Happy 4 months in the yard to Lucy the leucistic house sparrow!!!!🤍🤍🤍🤍
I’ll admit i’m super surprised she’s still in the area and continues to come by. She must nest fairly close, either in the backyard or across the street.
One of my favorite birds to see in the yard!🙂
I made my first wreath yesterday!🙂from our fir trees! I think it came out good.
I seen so many on here and it made me want to try it out! It wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be.
I didn’t get decorative with it but I might try to add some things later!
This was a sweet moment to see daddy oriole feeding some jelly to one of his fledglings🥲🧡
I think the stress of parenthood might be taking a toll on him, looks like he’s lost some feathers on the top of his head😅🙃
@BirdCentralPark
This is so sad😢he had such a comfy life in Central Park…and if the fireworks scared him off that is just so dumb. It’s going to be hard now to get updates on him..i’m going to miss everyone’s pictures of him. Thanks to everyone who always shared our favorite owl🦉🧡
This was so incredible! 3 male rose breasted grosbeaks were all chowing down at the platform feeder!!!
That’s the first time i’ve ever seen that😌a perfect

post!
Well guys, it’s now been 2 weeks since i’ve seen Lucy🥲🫤
She had a good 4 month stay in the yard & I took loads of pictures of her.
I’d like to think she has just moved on to a new area & is living her best life, looking fabulous.
Bon voyage Lucy🫡🤍
#SparrowSunday
Kind of seems like it’s died down a little..or my phone isn’t picking it up. I know people are going to post a bunch of northern light photos so here’s just a couple more & then tomorrow i’ll share some of my favorites!
Good luck to west coast friends hope you get a view!!🙏🏻😄👍🏼
Around this time yesterday I was getting ready to make dinner, when I heard the unmistakable sound of an eastern meadowlark from out back!
I ran outside & snuck up to the field, eventually I started hearing 2 others! They called around in the field then flew off. How cool!💛🖤
Woohoo!🎉💛🖤
Finally got my first photo of a giant swallowtail this year!!😌It was loving that swamp milkweed!
The largest butterfly in North America!
#InsectThursday
Well guys, I wanted to wait to celebrate but here are the baby robins!🥲🎊
One hatched Tuesday, one hatched Wednesday, and the other over night!
Let’s hope momma & daddy robin get all 3 to grow big & strong!!!🙏🏻🙂
