Reading conundrum I'm not convinced that Jan Morris yearned to be a woman, this was a man who had lead a privileged and entitled life.

Examine the words in your tweet. If the prison service puts someone in a women's prison it is because they have risk assessed it and decided that's where they should go. If they thought they were a man, they would be in men's prison. So your logic doesn't hold.
