@MegganFranks @HoustonFranks1 I competed against Houston back in the day. He was a fierce competitor at State, but respectful and in it for the right reasons. Clearly those qualities remain today… phenomenal job at State and now LSU.

@MsBiancaAK No argument here! I would love to carve the “Distance Carnival” back out of that meet and hold it the night before. Used to be a 4 hour night meet. That way all the HSers who travel across the country can stay and see the pro meet the next day.

@MsBiancaAK If you are referring to the Nashville meet, interestingly it started out as an elite HS distance only meet. It evolved into pro events a few years back and wasn’t a full track meet until ‘21. HS milers have flocked to Music City Distance Carnival since 2002 for end of season PRs.
