After Trump and his cronies torpedoed a bipartisan effort to pass several important health care bills, I went to the Senate floor one last time to try and pass my bill to help children with cancer. This bill would help the sickest kids, but @SenRandPaul stood in the way. This is today’s Republican Party. I’ll never stop fighting to put America’s kids first.

A groundhog out my window is gnawing on acorn. OK, maybe it's a hungry squirrel. I'm going to take this as a sign that Congress will pass the GIVE KIDS A CHANCE ACT this winter. Here's how you can help: Our friends who work as pediatric oncologists at drug companies are members of PhRMA. 1. Ask them to direct PhRMA to press Congress to pass the GIVE KIDS A CHANCE ACT. 2. Ask them to publish their company's endorsement of the GIVE KIDS A CHANCE ACT. We thank Novartis and BIO for their help.

The Give Kids a Chance Act also includes the Creating Hope Reauthorization Act pediatric priority review voucher program and the Innovation for Pediatric Drugs Act. This morning, I've received a dozen emails from friends about the exciting conversations the ACCELERATE conference is having on the Give Kids a Chance Act.
