A team from @CPOM_news took the opportunity to visit Iceland's melting glaciers during the Cryo2ice symposium earlier this year. Using drones, they measured glaciers, icebergs and proglacial lakes on the frontline of climate change. Yes it was nippy, but there were some spectacular northern lights as a treat for all the hard work...

Very happy after spending the last couple of days surrounded by high quality pro-glacial lakes!
@NERCscience and @NorthumbriaUni PhD student Natasha Lee is sampling pro-glacial lakes in Iceland to understand what drives changes in their colour 🟢🟤🔵 In between shifts we were fortunate to see colour changes of another kind ! Happy students = happy supervisors 😊
