On 9/11 FDNY dispatched their 911 participating EMS providers to the 9/11 attacks. Some of the EMTs and paramedics never returned home. Others became sick and others died. FDNY and NYC ignores them all. Like they never even existed.

It looks like someone parked in front of the fire hydrant (don’t do that!!) but the FDNY seems to have forced open their doors so they could connect a hose? They’ve also set up a little mobile command center. Both of those things are right outside my bedroom window.
