Clear skies today & Saturday will bring temperatures back to near normal. Shower and storm chances reach the Upper Mississippi River Valley late Saturday night, lingering through Sunday, and becoming more widespread through Monday.
Thu 8/1 732pm: Scattered storms are ongoing in west central Wisconsin this evening. While potential for thunderstorms is expected to wane through 10 PM, in the meantime these storms will be capable of generating localized heavy rain and gusty winds in addition to lightning.

Today we celebrated two large accomplishments in our Cooperative Observer program. Our observer at Mather 3NW in Wisconsin hit the 35 year mark and our La Farge, WI observer reached 40 years! We can't thank our volunteer observers enough for their years of dedication and data.
