Fall has definitely arrived in full force in central Alabama. Skies will remain clear tonight and into Tuesday, with a decided chill in the air. And conditions look even chillier tomorrow night, with the coldest air since last spring forecast to arrive.

A cold front is moving south through the area this morning. It will bring the coolest air so far this Fall. Highs will range from the lower 70s north to lower 80s south, but you'll really start to notice the cooler air tonight with lows generally in the 40s.

It's a great night to view a comet! This was our view from the office here at Mobile Regional Airport. Comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas is making it's every 80,000 year visit, so we figured it would be best to check it out this go around. 🙂 The second picture is taken through binoculars.

We have a nice southwesterly breeze this afternoon, preceding a cold front to our north. SW winds, ample sunshine, and this dry airmass is promoting a big warm-up w/ temperatures well into the 80s now. A few 90 degree readings are possible. Cooler weather arrives tomorrow!

Climatologically speaking, October is our driest month, and the forecast will live up to that expectation. We'll see plenty of sunshine through the weekend with warm temps during the day and cool temps at night. A cold front on Monday will bring even cooler air next week.
