🌧 It was a rainy morning across Anchorage on Monday. Radar shows most precipitation is shifting eastw and across the rest of Southcentral. Rain chances will linger across all of Southcentral through Tuesday before a chance to see the sun⛅again on Wednesday and Thursday.

A wet beginning to the week is in store for Southcentral. Light rain spreads north this evening. Monday brings more widespread and locally heavier rain with gusty winds in Cook Inlet & Kodiak Island. Showers persist through Tuesday. Below is the storm total rain through 10pm Tue:

Here is a look at current radar. The next band of heavier rain is moving up Cook Inlet this morning & will affect much of SC AK today. Steady rain over Interior SW AK will become showery through the day as cold air works in aloft. Showers will also persist along the SW coast.
A wet end to the week & beginning of the weekend is in store for SC AK! Below is a graphic of storm total rain from 4PM Thu through 4PM Sat. Most rain will fall along the northern Susitna Valley & the northern Copper River Basin. Rain tapers off from S to N Fri PM through Sat PM.
Here are the probabilities of seeing at least 0.5" of rain in a 12-hr period towards the end of the work week and into the weekend for select areas around SC AK. The likelihood of moderate rain, with heavier rain at times, is going up across the area especially Fri PM and Sat AM.
