Shackled like criminals. Chained for 40 hours. Denied basic dignity. This is how Indian citizens were deported from the U.S. And yet, Modi stays silent. His government refuses to stand up to the U.S. administration. Where is India’s so-called global strength? If the India-U.S. “friendship” means anything, why did our diplomats fail to prevent this humiliation? Why were Indians treated this way? Why did Modi let it happen? Weak abroad, loud at home—that’s Modi’s reality.

BJP MP Hema Malini has crossed all limits of shamelessness. She dismissed the Mahakumbh stampede, saying, “It wasn’t that big, people just hyped it.” Tell that to the families who lost their loved ones! How can a public representative be so heartless? Instead of demanding accountability and ensuring safety, she is busy downplaying a tragedy. This is the real face of the BJP—no empathy, no responsibility, just PR and arrogance.

Every day, newspapers are filled with reports of crimes and burglaries across Bhubaneswar. Even after 10 days of the robbery at my house, the police have failed to catch the culprit. This raises a more pressing concern—why is crime on the rise in Odisha, particularly in Bhubaneswar? Growing unemployment and drug abuse are fueling criminal activities, with offenders becoming increasingly organized and professional. The Odisha government must take immediate action. Law enforcement needs to be modernized with advanced technology, and the administration and police force must be strengthened to ensure real safety for the people. Combating crime requires both strong governance and proactive measures. I urge everyone to stay alert and protect themselves.

The Union Budget has completely ignored Odisha. Despite giving 20 out of 21 MPs to the BJP, the Modi government has given us nothing in return. Not a single major announcement for our state. Meanwhile, over the last 10 years, this government has collected ₹54.18 lakh crore in income tax from the middle class. Now, they claim to offer relief by exempting income up to ₹12 lakh—an annual saving of just ₹80,000, or a mere ₹6,666 per month. Is this supposed to be a gift for the people struggling with inflation and unemployment? This is yet another budget full of hollow promises. To hide its failures, the Modi government has rebranded Make in India as the National Manufacturing Mission. The same old schemes, new names, and zero real impact.

Horrifying cholera outbreak in Kanas block, Puri—6 innocent lives lost, and many more at risk. The crisis began in early January, yet the govt failed to act. Why hasn’t a medical team been sent from Bhubaneswar? What is stopping the govt from responding? Families of the deceased have now approached the Odisha State Human Rights Commission, seeking justice. Three bereaved families have received no government assistance till now. A few days ago, @INCOdisha’s fact-finding team demanded the cholera outbreak be declared an epidemic. Yet, the Puri district administration has failed miserably. Under the Basudha scheme, tanks exist, but there is no water. There are very few doctors in the affected area, leading to a rapid rise in cases. Meanwhile, polluted water from Daya River, contaminated by Gangua Canal, is worsening the crisis. I reiterate Congress party’s demand—the Odisha government must compensate ₹15 lakh to the families of the deceased. The govt must act now to prevent more deaths. Immediate steps needed: ➡ Clean drinking water ➡ Emergency medical teams ➡ Better sanitation measures

“वैश्णव जन तो तेने कहिये जे, पीड़ परायी जाणे रे” Humble tributes to the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on his martyrdom day. His values and ideals are the guiding light for not just Indians but millions of people across the world. He remains the beacon of peace and non-violence in this world!

This is heartbreaking. So many lives lost in what should have been a moment of faith and devotion. My heart goes out to the families who are grieving right now—I can’t begin to imagine their pain. I hope they find strength in this difficult time. This accident was not inevitable—it was the result of warnings ignored and mismanagement allowed to continue. Instead of ensuring the safety of devotees, the government remains fixated on self-promotion, while ordinary pilgrims endure the chaos of endless VIP disruptions. To those still at the Maha Kumbh Mela, please take care. Look out for one another. Stay safe.

I am in disbelief over yet another theft attempt at my house. This time, it occurred at house no. N/25 in Nayapalli IRC Village. Just yesterday, I raised concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in Bhubaneswar. Despite my appeal for strict action and enhanced vigilance, no noticeable steps have been taken. I once again urge the government and Odisha Police to take immediate and effective measures to ensure the safety and security of the citizens.

Remembering ‘Punjab Kesari’ Lala Lajpat Rai on his birth anniversary. His non-violent march to protest against the Simon Commission kindled the spirit of patriotism among Indians during British Raj. He was a great freedom fighter whose sacrifices have inspired millions of people over the years. Humble tributes to him.

My residence in Bhubaneswar was targeted by burglars day before yesterday. This incident has left me deeply concerned, not just for my family but for the safety of every resident in our capital city. This is not just about me—it is about the people of Bhubaneswar, who are left vulnerable due to the government’s failure to uphold law and order. It is time we question why our streets, homes, and lives are no longer secure. My appeal to Odisha police to step up to ensure the safety of our people. This must be the BJP government’s top priority!
