...and Sif fighting Malekith across the realms, with Odin and his army coming to their aid in the climax, and Thor defeating Malekith alongside Odin, it would've been viewed as one of the best Marvel films. Because it would be about Thor and Asgard, not Darcy and her intern BS.

Wrong? That movie butchered Thor more so than MCU's God Butcher butchered any gods. Thor talks to skeletons? Thor summons Mjolnir while in Strange's house knowing fair well he's causing damage? Thor doesn't care for Warriors Three and Sif? Thor gets bested by everyone? FOH.

There's already that character, she's called Ororo. Actually, she's more important than Rogue, as she's both a royalty in her homeland and was the leader of the X-men at one point. I say changing character's race just to piss people off is a gimmick, not a good intent.

Norse Thor was never depicted as a cringey goofball who falls on his face all the time. Watch 2019s Valhalla movie, that's how Scandinavians interpret Thor. As a character you don't want to mess with.
