We’re excited to announce that Ishaan Hublikar, DO, has been appointed as medical director of our Spinal Cord Injury Program! Thank you to Anita Kou, MD, for her remarkable leadership and dedication during her time in this role. Dr. Hublikar joined us in August 2024 after a fellowship at TIRR Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation and a residency at Marianjoy. He brings a wealth of specialized skills and knowledge. Dr. Hublikar has been actively involved in various research projects and has published several papers on innovative rehabilitation techniques.

Congratulations to Larissa Pavone, MD, on her appointment as chief medical officer at @NorthwesternMed Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital! Dr. Pavone, a valued member of our team since 2012, most recently served as associate CMO. Throughout her career at Marianjoy, she has held key roles, including medical director of the Pediatric Rehabilitation Program, and she will continue as the Residency Program director. @NorthwesternMed Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital recently introduced an in-house, state-of-the-art CT scanner. This upgrade improves access for patients, helps us provide increasingly complex care and enhances our patients’ rehabilitation journey.

@NorthwesternMed Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital is participating in a pioneering phase IIb randomized clinical trial: Progressive Abduction Loading Therapy (PRALINE). This study aims to optimize arm recovery in patients with significant stroke-related arm movement impairments.
