Many thanks to everyone who came to support the 7th birthday of #LowerDrummans Parkrun at Magilligan, especially former rowing Champion Richard Archibald. Over 80 runners and volunteers took part with the winner clocking an impressive time of 19 mins 46.

Panto season came to Maghaberry with a production of ‘Cinderella’ by ‘Off the Cuff’ Prisoner Drama Group.  A great performance by all and special thanks to Patricia Downey and @sitwtheatrecomp for helping to make it happen.  Oh yes they did!!

Thanks to everyone who collected food and toys for this year’s Christmas Hope Appeal. Yesterday, staff from across the Service volunteered at @prisonfellowshp to pack food hampers and presents for families impacted by imprisonment. Well done everyone.

A touch of Christmas from the Workshops at Maghaberry. Prisoners completing their City & Guilds qualifications in bricklaying, diversified their skills by building a Christmas tree! The trees were then decorated by those working in joinery and painting.

They saw the work being carried out to support rehabilitation and learned of our joint work with the Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust. The trees will be planted in partnership with the Woodland Trust and local councils. 2/2
