Early this morning, whilst going about their job putting out a fire in a block of flats out in

Town several of my firefighters were physically assaulted by members of the public. This is totally unacceptable. We can't do our jobs properly if people do this to us.

19 years ago I was a Crew Commander at Blue Watch Paddington and we were mobilised to Edgware Road. The things I saw that morning will never ever leave my mind.
We'll never forget the 52 people who were killed 19 years ago in the 7/7 bombings, including one of our colleagues, Lee Baisden.
We pay tribute to our firefighters and Control staff, as well as all emergency service crews who responded on that fateful day

This is totally devastating news, that I am honestly struggling to process. I have known Wayne for almost my entire career in the fire service. We worked incredibly closely every year as part of the LFB team at the Wimbledon tennis championships. 1/2
We are devastated to announce that our Chief Fire Officer, Wayne Brown, was this morning found dead at his home.
Our thoughts and love are with his family, friends and colleagues.

And here’s how we tested out the new way of rolling the hose in a smaller space to see how it went. Cleveland rolled hose looks messy at first but as you can see when it’s charged with water it’s instantly ready for deployment.

Command support units are a vital tool at larger incidents. They allow for logistical assistance, meetings, recording of information and efficient communications. Hertfordshire’s CSU is also a national asset so could be used country wide if needed.

7 years ago. 7 years since I drove past Grenfell to support LFB operations at our management centre. I will never forget the day and those immediately afterwards. Rest in peace to all 72 victims. 💚
Today we remember the 72 men, women and children taken from us at Grenfell Tower 7 years ago.
With time, those responsible hope we will all forget. Join us this evening at the Notting Hill Methodist Church at 6pm to show them we won’t 💚

Wayne’s death must not be in vain. He faced some vile and despicable online abuse which was totally unacceptable. Being the head of a fire and rescue service doesn’t make you fair game for ‘pile ons’. In a world where we can be anything, how about being kind? ❤️

The Service has been devastated by the loss of Hilmi. He was a well loved firefighter who battled his illness so bravely. We will be gathering to honour him at his funeral on the 24th.
We will be paying tribute to the life of Corby firefighter Hilmi Say at his funeral on January 24.
The Service was devastated at the loss of Hilmi, who has been a much-loved member of the brigade since he joined in 2010.
