Independent reporter: Providing accurate analysis, news, stats, trades, signings and highlights around the NFL — along with my own opinion from time to time.
USA Today has dropped their predictions for the 2024 NFL Season:
They’ve got QB Aaron Rodgers and the Jets winning the Super Bowl vs. QB Jordan Love and the Packers.
Former NFL WR Mike Williams has been taken off life support and remains responsive after suffering complications from an accident at work last month.
Praise God.
QB Aaron Rodgers through his first 11 games:
2,599 passing yards
17 TDs
9 INTs
5-6 record
QB Jordan Love through his first 11 games:
2,599 passing yards
19 TDs
10 INTs
5-6 record
According to a league source, the Packers will be hiring former Raiders coach Rich Bisaccia as their new special teams coordinator.
Deal is not finalized but is expected to be done.
Most wins in franchise history:
Bears: 783
Packers: 782
If GB beats MIN week 1 and CHI loses to SF in week 1, they’ll be tied at 783 wins.
Then the Packers and Bears will face off on Sunday night in week 2, with GB having the chance to surpass CHI for first time ever.
I know WR Davante Adams is an exceptional player and GB will miss him, but to say QB Aaron Rodgers won’t be able to play at a high level without him is ridiculous.
2018: QB Aaron Rodgers and the Packers comeback from down 17 in their home opener vs. the Bears.
2023: QB Jordan Love and the Packers comeback from down 17 in their home opener vs. the Saints.
*Both are tied for largest comeback in franchise history.
*It was QB Jordan Love’s
The 2020 QB Draft class might go down as one of the best:
Packers’ QB Jordan Love
Bengals’ QB Joe Burrow
Chargers’ QB Justin Herbert
Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa
Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts
The Green Bay Packers offense heading into next season:
QB: Jordan Love
RB: Josh Jacobs
TE: Luke Musgrave
WR: Christian Watson
WR: Jayden Reed
WR: Romeo Doubs
WR: Dontayvion Wicks
Packers’ rookie WR Romeo Doubs was asked what kind of leader QB Aaron Rodgers was this year, his response:
"Probably one of the best leaders I've ever been around."
Packers' OL David Bakhtiari when asked if QB Aaron Rodgers will play again:
"I personally don't give a shit what he does. I want him to do what he wants to do, and for him to be happy. I always say I care about 12, but I love Aaron Rodgers more. Whatever he wants to do."
Breaking:
QB Aaron Rodgers isn’t expecting to hang it up after tearing his Achilles vs. the Bills, per league source.
Rodgers wants to start rehab as soon as possible and try to get himself ready to go next season.
No disrespect to G. Wilson, who has some real talent, but to already ask if he is the 2nd most talented WR Rodgers has played with is crazy, when they’ve never played together yet.
Rodgers played with D. Driver, J. Jones, J. Nelson, G. Jennings & R. Cobb.
Don’t disrespect them.
Most playoff wins in NFL history:
New England Patriots - 37
Green Bay Packers - 37
San Francisco 49ers - 36
Pittsburgh Steelers- 36
Dallas Cowboys - 36
Packers’ WR Allen Lazard on being WR1:
"Big things are coming for Aaron and I this season…People are about to watch one of the best QB, wide receiver performances ever."
Packers’ LB Za’Darius Smith and CB Jaire Alexander could in fact be ready to play next week vs. the Bears, per source.
GB plans on seeing how they look and feel next week during practice before determining their status, but looks like they both have a chance to return.
Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers has shown year in and year out he’s simply one, if not the greatest to ever throw a football.
Even if he never wins another super bowl, that will never change.
I’m not saying QB Patrick Mahomes is the reason the Chiefs lost, but just keep that same energy for him that you had for when QB Aaron Rodgers and the Packers lost to the 49ers.
"When you face down adversity and you face down problems, that’s the quickest way to growth – – The organization and I, the conversations we've had, we're in a way different place than we've ever been, and I'm really appreciative of Brian [Gutekunst]”
- Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers
The Packers are expected to show interest in signing WR Allen Robinson, though GB believes Robinson is going to have a strong market to where they won’t be able to offer what most teams can, per source.
Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers only threw 4 interceptions while attempting 531 passes this season.
It's the 3rd time he has finished a season with 500+ passing attempts and 4 or fewer INTs.
No other QB in NFL history has done it once.
Update:
KR/CB Keisean Nixon had interest from multiple teams, but always wanted to come back to the Packers if possible, per league source.
GB pays up to retain Nixon.
I believe the Green Bay Packers defense led by Kenny Clark, Preston Smith, De’Vondre Campbell, Adrian Amos and Jaire Alexander along with plenty of others is going to be one, if not the best in the NFL this upcoming season.
Packers’ OL David Bakhtiari, CB Jaire Alexander and LB Za’Darius Smith will play this Saturday night vs. the 49ers but how much is yet to be determined, per league source.
The Packers so far today:
- Signed S Xavier McKinney
- Signed RB Josh Jacobs
- Released RB Aaron Jones
- Released LT David Bakhtiari
- S Darnell Savage to the Jaguars
- G Jon Runyan to the Giants
Texans’ QB C.J. Stroud has more 300-yard passing games than Bears’ QB Justin Fields.
Fields has started 27 games, while Stroud has started 2.
Packers’ QB Jordan Love has more 3+ passing TDs games than Bears’ QB Justin Fields.
Fields has started 27 games, while Love has started
Update:
Packers’ CB Jaire Alexander on Raiders’ WR Davante Adams:
"He's the best in the league. He's just quick. I could go on and on, but he's the best. I'm going to leave it at that."
RB Josh Jacobs and S Xavier McKinney signed with the Packers with one reasoning being because of QB Jordan Love.
That tells you a lot of what some of the best players think of Love already and wanting to play with him.
One thing that seems likely with Rodgers’ new deal is that he will retire with the Green Bay Packers.
GB and the fans should appreciate the loyalty from one of the best QBs of all-time.
NFL Talk’s top 10 QBs heading into the 2024 season:

The 2020 QB Draft class is one of the best:
Bengals’ QB Joe Burrow
Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa
Chargers’ QB Justin Herbert
Packers’ QB Jordan Love

Who are you taking as your QB for the future?
Update:
@PatMcAfeeShow
reveals he spoke to Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers on him reportedly "wanting $50M+/year" & he said that was "categorically false"
Figured the reports wasn’t true — Rodgers knows Packers’ cap isn’t set up for a deal like that with wanting certain players back.
