ފްރުޓް ޓްރީ ފިހާރައިގެ ގުދަނުގައި ހިނގި އަލިފާނުގެ ހާދިސާ އާއި ގުޅިގެން މި އޮތޯރިތީގެ ޓީމުން ދަނީ އެ ސަރަހައްދުގައި ހަރަކާތްތެރިވެ އިންސާނީ އެހީ ފޯރުކޮށްދެންޖެ ގޭބީސީއެއް ހުރިތޯ ކަށަވަރު ކުރުމުގެ މަސައްކަތް ކުރަމުން.

އަލިފާނުގެ ހާދިސާގައި ދުމުގެ ސަބަބުންނާއި އިމާރާތައް ލިބުނު ގެއްލުންތަކުގެ ސަބަބުން ވަގުތީ ބޯހިޔާވަހިކަން ބޭނުންވާ 10 ގޭބީސީއެއްގެ 33 ފަރާތެއް ( 14 ދިވެހިން އަދި 19 ބިދޭސީން) ފާހަގަ ކުރެވުނު.

މީގެ ތެރެއިން 5 ގޭބިސީއެއްގެ 14 ދިވެހިން އަދި 8 ބިދޭސީންނަށް ވަގުތީ ބޯހިޔާވަހިކަމާއި ކެއިންބުއިން މިދަނީ ހަމަޖައްސަމުން. ބިދޭސީ 1 ޢާއިލާ ވަނީ އަމިއްލަ ވަޤުތީ ބޯހިޔާވަހިކަމަށް ބަދަލުވެފައި. 11 ބިދޭސީއަކަށް އެ މީހުން ނިސްބަތްވާ ކުންފުނި ތަކުން ވަނީ އެހީތެރިކަން ފޯރުކޮށްދީފަ.

Participants in Fuvahmulah City utilized Google Earth to develop resource, hazard, and vulnerability maps as part of the Enhanced Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment and Disaster Management Planning.

These digital maps will also assist participants in future sessions as they consolidate and analyze information on community vulnerabilities and capacities.

Toward the end of the workshop, guided by the IFRC’s 11 dimensions of community resilience, participants will develop hazard-specific action plans tailored to the needs of Fuvahmulah.

CBDRM program kicked off in Fuvahmulah on 20th Jan under ERCP project, in partnership with @maldivianrc. This is the fourth island where the contextualized EVCA toolkit of @ifrc is being used to develop Disaster Management Plan.

Our team met with @FVMCouncil Mayor, who reaffirmed commitment to the Making Cities Resilient (MCR) campaign, initially launched in Fuvahmulah in 2023. Led by UNDRR and NDMA, MCR2030 promotes urban resilience through DRR and sustainability.
