After this year’s experience with medical, both being insured and having several in the family max out on deductible? I’m unapologetically all for government healthcare. I’m done. $21,000 in premiums for what?! Yeah. I’m pissed. A tonsillectomy was “elective” despite our daughter having a 3.5 (out of 4) tonsil score and her adenoid score around 90%!? We have already had out of pocket $5k for the surgery and we’re getting more bills. The appointment to see the doctor? $585. 5 minutes. Some questions on allergies. Looked in her throat and was out of the office in 5 minutes saying “we should schedule her.” Wife had a mammogram (insured). Dr was not pleased and slightly worried so she asked her to get another due to shadows. So she went back. They called it elective. Another $800 out of pocket. I had my annual bloodwork. $400 fee!? Yes. Government is a mess. But between doctors and insurers, there seems to be a hell of a racket going on.
