Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has exited a lease agreement for the provision of a cinema at the Abbey Street regeneration scheme by mutual consent.

The Newtown Centre, a community centre run by @wcavaorg in Nuneaton, celebrates its 60th birthday today. The centre opened in 1965 and was designed by architect Sir Frederick Gibberd. A celebration event to mark the milestone was attended by Cllr Steve Hey and @JodieGoslingMP.

Carers can continue to enjoy free travel on Warwickshire’s buses, when accompanying eligible concessionary passholders after Warwickshire County Council confirmed the continuation of the Companion (+1) Travel Pass add-on scheme.

Residents can still sign up for our green bin garden and food waste service for 2025/26. A subscription to the scheme costs £40 per bin per year, and runs from February to mid-January. Do not delay as there is no discount for part-year subscriptions.
