NYC’s small businesses are still hurting from the pandemic. That is why I added my voice urging the IRS to resolve the backlog on their 1.4 million ERC claims. It is beyond time for the IRS to fulfill its responsibility in getting businesses the money they were promised.

Thank you @RepDanGoldman and New York lawmakers for calling attention to the ongoing #ERTC processing delays that continue to affect small businesses who played by the rules. It's simple — @IRSnews needs to walk and chew gum at the same time. Our small businesses deserve better!
.@SenSchumer and I led our NY colleagues in urging the IRS to expedite processing of delayed legitimate Employee Retention Tax Credit claims. These unnecessary, bureaucratic delays have cost small businesses—who need these funds to keep serving our communities—$10B+ since 2020.
