All good things must start again.
We are very pleased to announce that we will be playing this year’s
@ATGFestival
on Thursday 20th August.
2020 will be a year of rebirth for Maybeshewill. We’re working on new material together and are excited to see what that will become.
We are excited to announce that our new record, No Feeling is Final, is out November 19th. You can stream the first single ‘Refuturing’ everywhere NOW, and pre-order the album at . The Refuturing video premieres on our YouTube channel tonight at 6pm GMT.
It is not possible to buy any sort of Maybeshewill related NFT that is authorised by, or has anything to do with the band and I can say with some confidence that it never will be. Absolutely fuck that.
Almost 15 years after their original release we’re making our first two albums - Not For Want of Trying and Sing the Word Hope - available on Vinyl for the first time.

It’s only right that our first show back remains the brilliant

. We’ll be headlining the Yokhai stage on the Thursday night and we’re keeping all our fingers crossed that it will be safe to play for you by then. Tickets:

Not to be too much of a tease, but we’ve got multiple cool things planned for 2021 (🤞) that it’s been really nice working on together, albeit remotely. We can’t wait to share them with you.
This isn't something that happens every day.
@Mybshwll
have put my maiden speech to music for a song in their upcoming album. The song is called "Zarah" 😱🥰
We had been planning to spend the spring rehearsing, writing and perhaps even recording some ideas and, thankfully, we kind of still are... It’s been kind of nice finding new ways of working from our various homes scattered hundreds of miles apart.
Today is the 10th anniversary of our debut album. To commemorate it in some way we got the 2008 line-up of Maybeshewill together to chat to
@remfrydedman
about the album.
No Feeling is Final is one year old. Thanks for welcoming it in to existence and us back in to your lives. Hopefully we’ll have some news about some bits and pieces we’ve been working on soon…
Thinking about that time our album leaked but they messed up the track order and then we read a review that said the album flow didn’t make any sense and it turned out they’d reviewed the leaked copy. 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
It's 10 years since I Was Here For A Moment, Then I Was Gone came out. Today we're releasing a double LP version of the record featuring b-sides, remixes and live versions, with brand new artwork by

. On sale via our own

Very sad not to be at
@ATGFestival
today, and the world feels ever so slightly off its axis. The weather’s even nice. We hope to have some news for you in the not too distant future.
Randomly turn on the TV in a Belgian hotel room and our music is being used to soundtrack what appears to be some sort of art competition? Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE coincidence.
It was an absolute honour to be asked to play Meltdown Festival. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to
@RobertSmith
,
@southbankcentre
,
@iliketrainsmusic
and our incredible string and brass players and tireless crew for making that an absolutely unbelievable experience.
Third time lucky. We will be at
@ATGFestival
in 2022. If you have tickets from 2020 or 2021 they have been rolled over. Otherwise you can find them here:
Final call for
@ATGFestival
tomorrow. We headline Yohkai in what is an almost embarrassingly high billing for us. Should have been our first show back and we’re going to do our best to make it feel like it still is, but like… in a good way? See you there.
I can say with some confidence that we’ll have *something* worth tweeting about this month. I think? Not just yet though. For now all this social media stuff remains largely pointless.
The venues on our tour keep asking us to film videos saying we’re excited for the shows so you guys know it’s actually happening, but we don’t have the charisma for that so we’re here to tell you that we paid the deposit on the van hire last week which should be convincing?
We’re really excited by some of what’s being created. Fingers crossed “normality” returns in the not too distant future and we can share some of it with you. Stay safe out there.
We’re pleased to finally announce our first London headline show since 2016. We play
@Islington_AH
on Wednesday 15th December. Tickets on sale this Wednesday via

Maybeshewill stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, and are sickened by the actions of the Russian government. Cassette release of No Feeling is Final with 100% of profits going to Ukraine humanitarian aid:
Finally figured out how to do something we said we’d never be able to do and have probably been asked for more than anything else. See you tomorrow at 12:30 GMT?
Thank you so much to everyone who supported us in 2022 - It was a genuine delight to be back playing shows for you, and putting No Feeling is Final out in to the world in a meaningful way.
We have a few small plans for 2023 which we hope we can share with you soon.

'Zarah' is out now:
It's built around an extract from a speech by MP Zarah Sultana. Her words encapsulate the anger and frustration felt by younger generations, being denied a say in their future by an older global elite.
We want to express our support for the Iranian people currently fighting for women’s rights in the face of violent suppression from the country’s state forces.
As it stands we have everything crossed that
@ATGFestival
is able to happen in August. If you need tickets you can pick them up here: . I guess if our subtle reveal last year wasn’t clear, this will be the first time we play new material. So there’s that. x
Very pleased to be able to share this video filmed by our friends WeTheConspirators of the rehearsals, build up and show for our performance at Robert Smith’s Meltdown:
'No Feeling is Final' is out NEXT WEEK on Friday 19th November. We cannot wait for you to hear it in its entirety. It's the product of over a years work writing, recording and carefully selecting the songs that make up the record. You can pre-order it via
At the start of last year we had a really clear plan of how things would pan out for our band as we slowly came back to life. Obviously all of that was thrown to the winds. Now things aren’t going to happen in quite the order we planned, but the extra year to plan...
Whether you picked up one of our hoodies last year, a pin badge twelve years ago, or a bunch of stuff in between, they were printed by these legends. Long live Awesome Merch.
“No Feeling Is Final is an album that sees MAYBESHEWILL reclaiming their throne as the undisputed champions of instrumental post rock. Its lush instrumentation and deeply emotional storytelling move from sadness to serenity.” 9/10 from
@Distorted_Mag
. Holy shit.
Hypothetically, if we made some merch available (no promises just yet, but we’re having a big old think about it), What non t-shirt / non music items are you keen on?
Can’t believe it’s been 7 years since the last release week nerves. In seriousness though, we cannot wait for you to hear ‘No Feeling is Final’. It’s a little bit of all 5 of us and we’re so proud of it. If you haven’t already, find it here:
It’s such a shame that
@ATGFestival
isn’t happening next weekend and that we can’t play our first show back there as intended. In lieu of it, we’re speaking to our old pal
@remfrydedman
as part of this awesome digital lineup featuring performances from some great friends of ours.
📺 ATG TV // 20.08.2020 - 22.08.2020 📺⠀
We're extremely stoked to bring you news of ATG TV, an online extravaganza of music, interviews and more, coming to your screens next weekend!
FINALLY. The ‘I Was Here for a Moment...’ reissues are here. We’ll be getting these over to our shipping folks ASAP and they’ll be with you before Christmas (fingers crossed). We’re so sorry for the bonkers delay on this.
What are you supposed to tweet in this bit where you’ve put a single out but then you have to wait for the next one? Everyone enjoying Refuturing? Got your pre-order in? What colour variant did you go for? Other questions?
A slow thread revisiting some bits and pieces from our past: Here’s our
