Spoke to an Orthopaedic surgeon today, he told me him self how they get so many stellar applications of doctors even more qualified than him self but they still aren’t able to hire them as they’re IMGs. He also said he hopes something changes with this situation.

For example; instead of copying down Uworld tables, you can just take a picture as then paste it! You can SEARCH your hand written notes, and my writing was questionable and it still worked!! You can export it as PDF to view on your monitor You can colour code much quicker

Instead of simply stating qualities like "I'm a hard worker" or "I'm a team player," use stories or experiences to demonstrate these qualities. Show, don't tell!

2/ When doing a block, give each question a certain amount of time. Unsure? Pick an answer, mark it, and move on. When reviewing marked questions, only change if you discover a significant point you overlooked initially.

It shouldn't just be an elaboration of your CV but rather talk about you to try and display your personality in these few words. Remember, your personal statement should be around 500-700 words, so be selective with the experiences you include. Quality over quantity!
