Muskingum welcomed Dr. Hassan Kwame Jeffries to campus for his presentation Putting in the Work to Preserve Democracy as part of Black History Month. Dr. Jeffries' presentation and discussion covered African Americans laboring for freedom from past to present.

The David and Karin Kratoville Entrepreneurship Fellows hosted Virginia Torrence and Henry Crissman, co-founders and operators of Ceramics School in Hamtramck, MI, for a presentation on how Ceramics School grew from a passionate idea into a successful artistic hub for artists.

Muskingum welcomed future Muskies to campus for today's Scholarship Day! Throughout this introductory experience, accepted students met with faculty, worked on increasing their scholarships through essays, talked with current students, and toured campus.

The Muskingum University Coalition of Occupational Therapy held a Culture Feast where the 2025 and 2026 cohorts enjoyed a luncheon with each cohort bringing food that represented their cultural backgrounds.

Muskie alum Levi Shegog hosted an artist talk for the campus where he presented on the details of his art collection, what the pieces mean to him, and how his career developed. Stop by the Palmer Gallery to see his collection Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 PM-5 PM through Feb. 18!

Muskingum welcomed the campus community for the opening reception of "Home is Art: A Collector's Perspective" at the Palmer Gallery. The display features an array of paintings, ceramics, photographs, and other media pieces from the collection of Muskie graduate Levi Shegog.

Muskingum hosted the second annual Impact Fair. The fair is an initiative fueled by the Impact Center where students can meet a variety of companies and organizations with a focus on building connections and finding internship and job leads.

Muskingum will host "Home is Art: A Collector’s Perspective” at the Palmer Gallery. The exhibit's opening reception will be on 1/27, from 12 PM - 2 PM. There will be an art talk by Levi Shegog on 1/29 from 12 PM - 1:30 PM.

Muskingum's MLK Days of Service kicked off with Delta Gamma Theta and the men's basketball team helping with the Muskingum County Community Foundation’s MLK Scholarship Breakfast where Teasia Jones '26 received the 2025 Muskingum University Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship.

The library will be operating its usual hours this weekend, but will be closed in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.
