The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a Philo Junior High Student making a threat against the school. Safety measures have been taken and there is no danger to any student or staff. If any information, contact our office 740-452-3637 Ext 6023.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Tri-Valley School District are aware of a threat made on social media. We are investigating and it will be ongoing. We, as well as the School District are taking extra precautions and this will continue into this week as school starts back in session.

The Muskingum Co Sheriff’s Office and the Tri-Valley school district are investigating a complaint of a school threat in the Tri-Valley District. An arrest has been made and there were no credible threats discovered. We will monitor, investigate and update if anything changes.

Sheriff Lutz would like the thank the Chernick family for their generous contribution of purchasing a dual purpose K9 named Vic. Vic and handler Deputy Graham Schaumleffel recently became state certified and is now working with the patrol division.
