Interesting story. On the one hand the female streamer should do a little more research into people before inviting them to collab. On the other, I have no ill will towards female chuubas who won't collab with males. You can say it's toxic and exploitative and an unnecessary vestige of idol culture or whatever, but the fact is that many female indies make most of their money off of SIMPS. Off of PARASOCIAL MALE FANS. Off of providing THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE. And expecting them to be okay with possibly upsetting these fans and losing income (or worse, upsetting a really weird fan who turns into a stalkerish anti or something like that) just to collab with you is a little selfish, if I may be so bold to say. I've become on friendly terms with more than a handful of female streamers during my time in this hobby that I know I can reach out to in DMs if need be for exchanging tips or banter, but whom I would never ask to collab with because of, well, this. And I'm fine with it. But that's another part of this: Just like me with them, Miya still could have been on friendly terms with this streamer. Maybe they could have helped each other out behind the scenes, unacknowledged, where the simps didn't have to know, and maybe have become real friends. However, by going public with her DMs, that opportunity is down the toilet, especially if anyone connects the dots on who the streamer was who sent them. And others he's friendly with currently may be more reserved with him now that he's proven himself to be someone willing to take DMs public over minor slights. Venting like this may have felt good in the moment but the longer-term social cost may end up being rather expensive. In short, keep private DMs private, and if a streamer doesn't want to collab, accept it (no matter how silly the reasons may seem to you) and move on - I'm sure you'll be able to find many others who would love to work with you keep looking. The approach taken by this post might get you some Twitter updoots and short-term dopamine but will hurt in the long term. Growing a career as a male chuuba is already a hard row to hoe -even more so for babiniku, I'd imagine - so why do things that will make it harder on yourself?
I already struggle to grow with me using a female model as a dude but this just kicks me down when someone followed me and stuff because they saw me as a Partner streamer in their chat... I'm already fighting many demons doing what I do and I see the patterns that people don't hang around when my female friends raid me. But I didn't need this too from another Vtuber 😢 Man or not, I think I'm a very welcoming and chill guy... People tell me I make them smile and we have a good time together... I really didn't need this. I'm on the struggle to regrow as it is...

Chuubas, be aware that Civ VII may show a filepath on screen which contains your computer account username. For this and other reasons I highly suggest you create a user account on your computer for your chuuba identity and always use that one while streaming, and never logging in to any online services, games, or the like with your roommate's identity while using it. Don't be like Jelly Hoshiumi here and doxxxxx yourself to the world like this. (For those less familiar with Jelly, this is a joke - these identities belonging to the same person is widely known.) Thanks to Hff201 for sharing this on TVA.
