Chapter after that he dies or gets injured then gets replaced with the next goon

Their contribution is just do a bit of Damage or get some praise from Sukana before being wiped from the story, even though there's been a bunch of people in this fight it's mostly been 1v1's so we barely get to see any cool combos or team ups outside of when Yuji and Yuta fought

DS has the entertainment district arc which manages to stay way more focused and engaging and make use of every character, Most MHA arcs clear Shibuya by a mile with way better writing, character building, world building etc

Useless??
Literally the SH's would have lost in Thriller Bark and Dressrosa and even Enies Lobby if he wasn't there and yeah Elbaf has been set up as a major arc for Usopp since Little Garden but hes had major moments in nearly every arc
Ussop stans will look at you dead in the eye and tell you ‘watch on elbaf’ like that’s not 1100+ chapters into the story. By far the most useless strawhat and arguably the worst written as of now.
