You need 3 professional season to be eligible to Group 2 RFA. A professional season is 10 pro games when the player is 20 years old or older.
Broberg played 59 pro games in 2021-2022, 62 pro games in 2022-2023 and 73 pro games in 2023-2024.

Simply a remainder that Slafkovsky clock for an accrued season is currently at 38/40. If he’s on the NHL active roster for 2 more games this season, he will be one year closer to UFA. Group 3 UFA is 7 accrued seasons or 27 years old.

When a team is relocated, players receives 6000$ as a compensation.
Moving expenses are also paid. Moving expenses can be vehicule importation fee, cancelled least cost, replacing your driver license for example.
Players might be entitled to other reimbursement.
One more note: when the Thrashers moved to Winnipeg, no allowance was made for players to adjust their trade protection. However, Atlanta players who were under contract for the next season were given financial compensation for the move.
