I'm a Boomer and do not disagree with Student Loan Forgiveness. It was Predatory Lending that took advantage of kids wanting to get an education. Education should be affordable. Not a lifelong debt sentence. The loans should be restructured at the very least.

As a Realtor what I do is have the property professionally deep cleaned. The Sellers LOVE it because they know the home will be delivered cleaned. The Buyer's LOVE it because they can move right in and unpack into a clean home. I do this as a closing gift.

I live in Lee County. Yesterday I went to Matlacha on Pine Island. It was DEVASTATED from Hurricane Ian. As I drove through there was 1 very obvious thing I noticed. NO CONSTRUCTION WORKERS! No roofers. Nobody cleaning up. Nothing happening! Hurricane Season starts June 1st.

It really is a Win/Win of a closing gift. Takes stress off both sellers and buyers. I've been doing this for decades. It's more expensive then a typical closing gift, but definitely well worth it. I have windows, appliances, all the filters replaced, driveway is even cleaned.
