The job never stops & the hours increase. I was working f/t & looking after dad outside of this. I wasn’t allowed CA. All those carers who cannot claim due to falling outside of this supposed 35 hrs. You cannot count the hrs you give to care. I agree, it is insulting.
It's insulting really 😦😦 Carer’s Allowance is £81.90 a week, based on 35 hours of care. But the reality is many carers put in 100+ hours every week. As 39-year-old carer Martyn put it, “The job never stops.” Article:
