@crungus7 you're missing the point of the post. offering a band-aid to a problem vrchat has had since the beginning of it's life span for 10 dollars is the issue that I have. I have no issue supporting them financially, but the feature seems like something everyone should have.

@WickEman I have no issue supporting them financially. Vrchat has given me multiple opportunities that benefit me. The underlying issue of offering a band-aid to a problem that vrchat has had since the beginning of it's lifespan by offering it for 10 dollars is the problem that I have.

@Pedro4prezVR i believe it is not a fair comparison, but this is not the core issue. playing a game that only intends to protect the player base if you pay 10 dollars is dystopian to me. charging for other luxuries like name change would've made more sense to me.

@Pedro4prezVR I'm not sure comparing avatars to protection is different I feel like. Avatars are a luxury while protection feels like a necessity.

@Pedro4prezVR ohh i didn't know that verifying costs money for them. I would think they would prioritize something like age verification and find different avenues to cover costs for it as well considering the negative press vrc has been getting over the years.
