I’m very opinionated (in a good way 😁) and I’m very appreciative of those that follow me, read and interact with me on my tweets and/or those that’ll tune into an IG Live, Clubhouse or Spaces to hear me out.
Y’all are so vital to my mental state, especially as of late.

For the folks that probably won’t read the article but react to it:
You need two doses - which is what they’ve been saying - for this vaccine to be 95% effective. This person only received one dose.
BET’s social media team is really bad. The tweets be stale, the jokes be late and that Nicki Minaj tweet that went out is just classless. I’d expect that from a Black Twitter regular, not a media outlet.
Man, listen... more power to Taylor but the narrative being rewritten right before our very eyes.
And to think, they called him CRAZY and we had to watch him take a hit commercially for this
Prince didn't go to bat with his label & eventually rerecord a few of his hits during /that/ period all for Taylor and other yts get the glory for revolutionizing the music business

Ok you’re not getting what me or the original poster is saying. The PSP failed b/c its numbers were low and it hit discount bins and eventually got discounted. That’s a FACT.
@chuk_it
He also didn’t give birth to 10+ children or passed recently... which is why this tweet was posted.
I’m a father. I know the importance of a father and have mad respect for him and what he’s done. But I’m addressing the matriarch for obvious reasons.

The XB was upgraded. The PSP was completely wiped off of the market for years for a reason... there’s factual numbers and reports behind this lol

They discontinued them. Therefore it FAILED. Now, the times caught up with the PSP and its then ambitious concept... but it failed. Same with the Dreamcast and online gaming.
I swear both Batdance the song and its music video seems like a fever dream. It’s so odd and of it’s time, yet nostalgic enough to want to revisit over around this time of the year.

‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ is a masterclass in acting.
Very, very strong performances.
I know Chadwick is a good actor but going into it I thought some of y’all were pointing him out for obvious reasons... but no, he was really great. Colman Domingo too.
The trash part about this particular thread and story reappearing on the TL every so often…
Prince being “high” and trying to run over the Jacksons are some unfounded claims that’s being pushed on a big platform. Also feeds this lie that their rivalry was THIS nasty.
Michael Jackson and Prince were at a James Brown concert in 1983. James called up Michael mid performance to sing. Michael suggested that Prince be brought up as well, knowing Prince was high.
Prince embarrassed himself, then tried to run Michael over in the parking lot.
Not sure if y’all peeped, Greer mentioned his dad being a Panther. Stepped to Nola wearing “free johnson slacks” and said his dad designed em. Lowkey, Greer’s Dad is Eldridge Cleaver

One of the coolest things the Prince Estate has ever done posthumously was 4 U: A Symphonic Celebration of Prince.
I love the strings and to see the orchestra performing P joints was amazing
This isn’t talked about enough
At this point I’m 100% certain a good bulk of those "Black American" ADOS accounts are actually white people.
Some of them never post pictures of themselves or even in their avi's.
Blockbuster was the spot to get all the hot films but Hollywood Video had the obscure titles on deck. When my dad lived in Far Rockaway, there was a Hollywood Video nearby and that's how I saw 'Under the Cherry Moon' for the first time.

Folks use their social media handles as a weapon and don’t even think about the regular folk and what put them in that situation smh
Yesterday I was doing that 10 year challenge thing and came across a pic of me wearing a hoodie I haven’t seen in years. I asked myself “whatever happened to that hoodie?”. Yesterday my grandmother came to spend the week and peep what she pulls out...
Looking at this pic is wild cause my Mom had just passed like 10 days prior. I look so dead in my eyes. Like I’m there to celebrate Christmas and what not, it was Mila’s first... but I’m not there.
Prince, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne performing While My Guitar Gently Weeps at the induction of George Harrison in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, 2004.
It never fails. Any time I’m talking to a Prince fan and I tell them that out of his entire body of work my absolute favorite song is ‘Glam Slam’ they’re like
Nope cause I’m a firm believer in NO biopics for Prince.
Give me a life and career spanning doc - preferably a docuseries - maybe some album specific docs and call it a day.
I’d love to see a
@questlove
or Spike Lee directed doc, btw.
Remember when soundtracks were an event?
Part of the movie marketing? Sometimes as big as or even bigger than the movie itself?
Soundtracks used to introduce new artists, give us event collaborations, offer fire remixes, and sometimes put us on to classics.
