What is happening in Los Angeles is heartbreaking. The loss for so many is incalculable. Still, great appreciation goes out to the brave front line firefighters and first responders. Thank you for saving what you can and protecting what remains untouched. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I love the idea of short, contained stories… but often something feels missing. Not the case here. A beautifully captured story that resonates with an emotional fullness that’s hard to come by in just 12 minutes. Give it your time, you won’t regret it. Way to go, Alex.
My art comes from a deeply personal place; A time I want to rediscover. A relationship I wish to reconcile. A question I dare to ask. This short film embodies all of this, but at its core it is an abstract reflection of living with depression. The isolation. The numbness. The longing to return to the same plane as your loved ones. The box you contort yourself into that holds all your pain, yet feels safer to stay in rather than stepping into the unknown towards healing. I share the screen with my real mother in this film. She had never acted before but radiates with wisdom and grace. Our scene is an echo of conversations we’ve had when our faith, love, and timeless bond to our culture and ancestors has been our path out of the darkness. If you want to know what’s wrong with the world, Prime Video has an “abridged” version of It’s a Wonderful Life that removes THE ENTIRE POTTERSVILLE SCENE where George sees life if he wasn’t born. That’s all that abridged. The best most crucial part of the movie. Just. Wow.
