I got my sweat test back today.
It was 50.
When I was born it was 150.
The range where cystic fibrosis would be diagnosed is 70+
This means that Kaftrio has changed my life in a way that my sweat test says I don’t even have CF. I do, but that’s how amazing this drug is.

I can wear this mask for up to 2 hours with no issues whatsoever, so you can wear one for your trip to Sports Direct.

Timehop says it's a year ago today since I took my first dose of

, my new CF medicine.
In the 12 months since, I have:
- Gained 3 stone in weight (42lbs)
- Had my feeding tube removed
- Improved lung function from 62% to 83%
- Stopped coughing completely

3 yrs ago I weighed 9st. I had surgery to have a feeding tube fitted.
It changed my life. In 2020 I got new medication branded "almost a cure".
I got to 13st.
My health is now so good, today my feeding tube came out.
Modern medicine is amazing.

So that was the best CF clinic I've had in LITERALLY years.
My lung function has increased again to 73% (I was 61% just 6 months ago), my oxygen levels are in the normal range, no sign of diabetes, lung infection markers are low, weight within the normal range for my height...⬇️

Had my lung function taken today. Blew a 72% which is the highest my lung function has been in about 18 months.
Its been as low as 62 these last 6 months, so this is a massive relief for me personally!!

I hadn’t done my lung function for months so I was curious to see if having COVID had affected it.
Before Kaftrio, I was blowing between 69% (nice) and 75% fluctuating month to month.
After I started Kaftrio I blew an 83. Highest in years.
This morning I blew a 95! Holy SHIT!

I can't believe it's been a year since we got Kaftrio.
It has completely changed my life. For someone given a life expectancy of around 30, at 34 I feel physically fitter & healthier than I have ever felt as an adult.
