I don’t know the circumstances of your departure but I for one will miss your astute knowledgeable comments, your humor, and not being able to say,” I co drove with him at Le Mans,” thus improving my credentials enormously! Good luck Damon.
Its been a fantastic 13 years with @SkySportsF1 but all good things come to an end. I will miss the most impressive bunch of professionals it has ever been my pleasure to have worked with. Looking forward to new challenges #f1

Another great driver has passed away. Bobby Allison leader of the Alabama Gang was one of the most intense drivers I knew. Such a tragic life, losing two grown sons in one year! Too awful to contemplate. Condolences to Donnie & Pat.

One of the coolest things to come out of @DWRshow is my friendship with @MrDavidHobbs! If I come to Elkhart Lake and don’t get a chance to say hello, he lets me know it! What an absolute legend. Glad I could stop by the house for a quick chat. ❤️

Sean Kelly aka @virtualstatman is correct, don’t remember the trip at all. Not quite sure how that can happen but it has. Now Sean on the other hand can remember everything that has happened in the last thousand years!!!
@bonerack154 @MrDavidHobbs I know for a fact that Hobbo did a whole series of races in South Africa one year but he has no recollection of even going to the country to do it, so the chances of knowing all the cars he drove will be remote! 😂

Don’t remember who blew it up. Didn’t matter much as the,”Super special design,” was going to be as fast as anyone down the straights and dynamite through corners. Snag it was 20 mph slower down Mulsanne !! Same as others in curves!

Wow!! What a memory. Thank you very much for your comment. I did 18 Daytona 500’s starting of course in 1979 with the last lap crash and fight between leaders Cale and Donnie, Richard a distant third won yet another 500. Better to be born lucky than Rich!!!
