Welcome to 'Cars of The Week', and we're starting big, literally. I dare say I might have peaked too early with this epic 1989 Citroen CX 2.5 DTR Turbo. All this goodness can be yours for £9,995. In terms of price per square inch, nothing beats it!
#COTW
Today I turned the big 40, in car years I'm the same age as this Trusty old Ford Capri, if you're up for a bit of fun, post the car that was registered on the year you were born. Let's see who can find the best! Let the games begin...🚗🥳🥂🎁🍻🍔4️⃣0️⃣
Sticking with funky estates, check out this 1984 Ford Granada Ghia X with the tub thumping 2.8i engine. It's the size of a house, with (considering the condition) a relatively sensible asking price of £12,995 (Don't @ me it's just my opinion 😎
#COTW
On a more positive note
#CarTwitter
, who's up for some fun before bedtime? Post something that always makes you smile when you're feeling $hit. I'll go first, it's this Renault Avantime,
@Berniethebolt19
posted it on my wall recently and now l can't stop thinking about it..
So let's kick this off looking at some fruity Alfa's. I'm (literally) going big with my first choice, it's the Alfa 164 3.0i V6 24V. If you're after some Wafty Goodness, then this won't disappoint. £7k gets it, but factor in another cambelt change
#FOTB

its nearly Christmas so let's have some fun. We need to settle this once and for all. Out of this lot, what's the best 80s/90s Hot Hatch? No Fighting, Bonus points for funny stories, keep it clean. Let the games begin....
Finally today, and combining looks and practicality it's (in my opinion) the best looking estate car out there and this Alfa Romeo 159 Sport Wagon can be yours for just £2595. Alot of car, but alot of miles to, hence the price. Top choice today!
#SundayCars
This 1998 Alfa Romeo 156 2.0TS is yet another victim of ULEZ, such a shame cars that look like this won't be on our roads that much anymore, now that's a crime! This little Italian beauty can be yours for £1,495.
#1000CR
There's not many cars for £13,000 that look this Beautiful from every angle, inside & out. Despite needing some TLC, this Renault Alpine GTA V6 is absolutely stunning and would no doubt be great fun driving back from Scotland!
Rocking the 80's now with the only Alfa to feature tonight, l know I'm sorry. But it's a good one, it's a 1980 Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0. Always fancied one of these, they just look so cool. With an asking price of £22,950, I'll have to sell a kidney or 2.
#COTW
So folks, l'm close to reaching 4000 followers (which is amazing). So to try & get to the magic number before l sign off tonight, I'm bringing out the big guns, So here you go, check out this Tubthumping Rover 420GSi Turbo!

#COTW
l haven't had a chance to get on here much in the last 48 hours. The results of £1000CR will be posted tomorrow. To make it up to you, it's been a while since I've posted my favourite car of 2023 (so far). So here it is, this unbelievably epic 2002 Renault Avantime, Good Night!
I can't publish what people say about my next choice, but ignore the haters and make up your own mind about the Citroen C6 HDi Exclusive. I still post them because, despite their issues l think they're great cars. This one can be yours £6995
#CarsoftheWeek
Looking for a bit of 90s retro Japanese fun? I've got a couple up my sleeve. First up, it's this 1990 Honda CRX 1.6i.
l adore these, I'm on the fence about the asking price. Seems fair, considering how rare it is, rariety wins all. Yours for £4,990
#COTW
This morning's supemarket car park spot - Lovely lady owner in her late 50's, stated she gets a lot of kind remarks about the car, but said its useless for putting shopping in! 🤣
l replied it was a small price to pay to own such a cool car, to which she agreed 😀
Bringing the 90's to a close, it's a little out of my comfort zone, but l just fell in love as soon as l saw it. Its a 1999 Discovery 2 TD5 Auto. Will it breakdown & cost a fortune to fix? Yes Probably! But while it's working 👍
Yours for £2,895
#COTW
Well, I don't know if I'm brave or stupid, but after years of wanting an Alfa, I've finally bought one and what a cracker it is. It's the 1.8TS GT Cloverleaf. Cambelt done last year & Clutch about 60k ago. This is a good thing because it's done 170,000 miles. Let the fun begin...
Sticking with rare, it's this absolutely glorious 1995 Subaru SVX 3.3i, flat 6. Stunning in every way. Is it perfect? No, it has its imperfections, but it's just superficial. At £4,995, this could be another possible good investment.
#1000CR
For those on a more modest budget l haven't forgotten about you. Check out this 1995 Rover 800 Coupe with the 2.7 Honda lump in it. Its not without its faults, but it looks fantastic, this great barge can be yours for £1000.
#COTW
Welcome to tonight's £1500 Car Roulette. First up is this Stunning Renault Laguna complete with the tub thumping 3.0i V6 24 Valve engine. There's a lot to love here, except maybe the car tax! Still, what a machine!
#1500CR
Next up and if you fancy something Equally practical but with a bit more kerb appeal, then check out this Alfa 156 GTA with the tub thumping 3.2i V6 engine. Good and unmolested ones are hard to come by, this one will set you back £12,000
#FOTB
Always wanted to own BMW, but only have a grand in the bank? this is the best on offer today. Brand new 'clean' MOT and a FSH. Yes there's a couple of little niggles to sort out, or you can live with them. Even so, seems a lot of bang for your buck
#1000CR
Right, a few Summer Soft Tops to choose from now. 1st up it's this 2001 Peugeot 306 1.8i 16v. Offering you both style and 4 seats, these are a great choice for a cheap summer toy. This one could be yours for £1495
It's always hard to choose a starter, but who can resist a cheap Alfa Romeo? This 155 from 1993 looks the bees knees. As with any of my choices tonight it needs a bit of TLC, but what a cracker
#1000CR
Arguably the best Focus for under a grand for sale today. It's got the proper 2.0i engine in it, too. Good spec, so there are plenty of toys to play with. It's also in one of the best colour/wheel combo they do to. This looks a little bit special.
#1000CR
No, its not a Fiat Uno, although it was probably built in the same factory. Its a Lancia Y10 (no me neither). In a world of large SUV's, its nice to have a little run around to pop to the shops in. £5k for such a small car seems cheeky, not sure
#1000CR
Up next is a little racy number from Vauxhall, it's this 1987 Cavalier SRi. Honestly I'm not sure they've aged very well, those Momo Arrows don't help either. I think l would feel like a burk driving it, this coming from someone that owns an Alfa.
#COTW
.
Next up, I've found you a bit of a unicorn. It's a 1992 Honda Prelude 2.3i MANUAL! If you prefer an auto, that's cool, but trying to find a manual one is bloody difficult, and it does come at a price. It's £4,250. I still love this Retro Goodness
#1000CR
Sticking with cool little yellow things. Check out this 1978 Toyota Celica 1.6 ST Coupe. Doesn't help that its literally down the road from me either, just need the £24k now...

My 1st car at 17 was a Torquise Mk2 Ford Fiesta 1.1 (like this one) I put XR2i wheels, fogs & interior in it. l wrote it off shortly after, attempting to take my jumper off while driving. The Fiesta was a bit part of my teens & will always have a special place in my heart

Sorry that I've been a bit quiet on here, l just haven't felt myself recently, brains can be funny things sometimes. Feeling a bit better, so normal service Inc. badly written tweets will resume soon. This crazy little Italian has certainly helped put a smile back on my face to.
With Prices for 80's Hot Hatches going through the roof, seems everyone is jumping on the band wagon, so if you told me that you'll be paying upwards of £14,000 for a Fiat Uno Turbo l'd think you were mad. Great fun to drive, but 14k.....
#CarsoftheWeek
It's not often I find a decent Renault Avantime, but here's a stunner. It's a 2002, complete with the 2.0 Turbo, in the best colour. You're getting a bit of a Cult classic here, all for just £2,575. This wont hang around for long.
#1000CRZ
.
A couple of Peugeot RCZ's came into work today, Pre & Post Facelift. These aren't to everyone's taste as essentially its a 3dr Peugeot 308. Personally l like them and they look great in this colour! What do you think?
#Peugeot
#rcz
Right folks, here we go, and we're starting strong, with this 1990 Renault 25. There's no 'faffing' around with this. All this early 90s French Lovelyness can be yours for just £1,995
#COTW
Fancy yourself a Hot Hatch? then for £2495 you can have this Ford Fiesta 1.6i Zetec S, in arguably the best colour. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face, comes with a brand new MOT to!
#Saturdaycars
Another one of my favourites to feature tonight is this MG-ZS 2.5i V6 Saloon. I've always wanted one of these when l worked at my local MG Dealer, especially the saloon model.
I think the only reason this is still for sale is because it's situated in Scotland, because for £1695
It's always going to be the case that rarity demands a high price, nothing proves that more than asking £10,000 for a Rover Metro. Ofcourse it carries that GTi badge, so it's always going to add '00's to the price, still ouch!
#COTW
One of my personal favourites to feature tonight it's this Ford Mondeo 2.5i V6 Zetec S (l used to own a Mk2 version of these). Taking away my biast, this looks like a brilliant buy, it's the rare Saloon version to, which l prefer. Sensible mileage and seemingly looked after, just
Only 1 BMW to feature tonight, I'm know I'm sorry, but its a good one. Its the BMW 540 4.4i V8! In the best colour to. Its definitely a stunner
#1000CR
Yes Folks, you read that right, £775,000 for a Subaru Impreza P1. As nice as it is, that's Supercar money and l know what l would rather have! Has the world gone mad or am l just niave to the ever increasing car market?

It's time to split the room with my next choice, the very bold looking Fiat Coupe Turbo from 1998. Cards on the table, l love it. Fond memories of my Best mate picking me up from school in a brand new one. I was 16 & very popular that day.
#1000CR
#90s
I can picture it now, customer walks into the BMW dealer, l would like a brand new BMW 523i. Would sir like to see the optional extras catalogue? No, thank you. The engine's probably broken! l still love the poverty look though.
#1000CR
Hi Folks, Welcome to an Easter Special

Finally, as part of my 'Cars l want, but can't afford' series. It's another car that's been on my watch list since forever. It's this Almighty Alfa Romeo 164 V6 Cloverleaf QV. I'd happily live with all the broken bits, because to me it's just so cool.
Sticking with Cool but around a fraction of the cost, its the 2nd Merc to feature tonight. It's this 1990 Mercedes 190E 2.5-16. Seems strong money, especially given that mileage, but this one is only 1 of just 6! Yours for £26,500.
#CarsoftheWeek
If you don't care about practical then how about this stunning 1998 Alfa GTV Spider. It may only have the 2.0i and there's a few things to check out on the MOT history, but, but just look at it! All this goodness can be yours for £4,695
#FOTB
270,000 mile 1994 Audi 100 2.5TD Auto for £1,450. Who's Brave enough to try and get it to 300,000 miles? Same owner for 15 years with a ton of history.
Yep, you bet l found one and it looks amazing. For those of you that have been living a cave, this is the Renault Avantime from 2003. I'm surprised its still for sale, I thought it would be gone by now, especially as their only asking £3950.
#1000CR
Sticking with Subtle, check out this MK1 Ford Mondeo 2.0i LX. Same owner for 22 years and obviously looked after it. This is no thrills Driving at its best, although that Zetec is a cracker. Great buy for £1200!
#1000CR
Alot of you guessed correctly by its interior, it's the Mighty Vauxhall Omega, this one is the beastly 3.0i V6 Elite (Plod Edition) Wafty Goodness
#1000CR
That last statement rings true with my next choice. Its a 1992 Peugeot 205 Rallye. With only 250 left, seller is asking £15,000. Which is decent GTi money, but l concur this is rarer. I'd still rather have a GTi though.
#COTW
Right, here we go...
We're starting off over at the 'Bay' with this charming, 1 owner from new 1986 Peugeot 305SR Estate. Excellent condition, bar a ripped seat that needs sorting. Cracking start and yours for £3,450.

#1000CR
Scooting over to the 'Bay' now, how about this Limited edition, Volvo 480. There's a lot to love here, including the colour! The bodywork is a little rough, but it's still stylish & cool even after 27 years. Not many cars can say that for a grand.
#1000CR
Next up it's one of my all time favourite cars from the 80s, Pop Up Lights ✅️ Red✅️. There is definitely alot to love about this Mitsubishi Starion, just dig a little deeper with that sketchy MOT history, before parting with nearly £15k
#CarsoftheWeek
Just choked on my CoCo Pops, £25,000 For a Peugeot 306. Yes, l agree it's spotless and it's the GTi 6 Version! But still... Twenty five Thousand of your hard earned Pounds! Just let that Sink in..

Finally, tonight, it's another rare find it's this 1991 Rover Metro 1.4i 16v GTi.
Cards on the table, for me, it doesn't deserve to have the 'GTi' title. However, it makes my list because it is kinda special & it comes at a price, yours for £4,500
#1000CR
Well, we started with a firely Italian, so seem's fitting to end with one. If l couldn't tempt you with that 155, here's hoping l win you over with its smaller brother, the Alfa 145. It's another stunner and my personal favorite tonight.
#1000CR
Ofcourse, not everyone needs a daily driver, but instead a motorway muncher. So check out this 2008 Citroen C6! This would be like driving your sofa, It's had a lot work done recently. Good while it lasts, yours for £4250.
#Carsoftheweek
How about this poverty spec Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 L from 1988? Comes complete with keep fit windows, wheel trims and no a/c. You do however get a sunroof though! A good honest car for £2600
