I suspect Dead Island 2 reviews are going to be scattershot so I'll say this: the entire game is beating zombies to death, almost nothing else to it. But it's also the best zombie beat-assery out there. If the look/sound of this clip does it for you, I bet you'll dig it.

Jumped into Foxhole last night. Spent 2 hours harvesting scrap and craning supplies to go to the front (had a blast). The logistics game is so involved. Truly feels like an MMO without the RPG.

There's clearly lots of confusion thanks to how they communicated it, but "wildly overblown" isn't how I'd call it. They've canceled the thing ppl wanted most from PvE (a mode designed to be replayed), a thing they've talked about for 4 years. It's a public, bewildering failure.

A month ago, anyone could have picked up Hitman 3 for $13.99 on Epic. Now it's back to full price, and Steam loyalists think they were cheated.

Now, on both fronts, Ubi would rather keep that player in your game and not let them offend.

Dropping guns serves a real purpose in Halo, too. If one gun's empty, it's faster to throw it away and immediately equip a new one later, instead of having to switch to the empty one first.

Every conversation I've ever had about Overwatch 2 PvE has been about "those cool Hero missions" where you can unlock new abilities and become delightfully overpowered. No matter the reason for giving up on it, it has happened and people are reasonably pissed.

I honestly do not know what IGN is these days. They publish regular journalistic news and reviews, but also host sponsored lets plays that are indistinguishable from publisher-made ads and will host an official Microsoft direct, too. IDK what to call that.

Enchain (demo on Steam) has one of the coolest movement systems I've seen in an FPS.
Tools include: a lantern grapple hook also used for combat, wallrunning, mario dive jump, slides, and a "primed" jump that you prepare in the air. Wildly cool in action.
