I met Gerry some 20 years ago through a mutual friend, Bill Gould. He was a beautiful soul and a testament that many great men of letters are outside of conventional academia. Fond memories of drinks at the U Club of NY discussing the permanent things. RIP.
It is with a heavy heart that the @ubookman and @KirkCenter family announce the passing yesterday of our longtime editor, Gerald J. Russello (1971-2021) after a battle with cancer. We'll pass along details as soon they are determined. Please pray for his family and his soul.
