On this day 1971 Apollo 14 EVA-2 Pic 1 - Alan Shepard captures a stunning photo of the the Earth above lunar module Antares. Pic 2 - Zoom in on Pic 1 - Venus is also visible. Pic 3 - Once back inside the LM the crew capture a shot of Earth and Venus through the overhead rendezvous window Pic -4 zoom in on Pic -3 showing the Earth and Venus.

This time to the Fra Mauro region - the intended landing site of Apollo 13 which failed to land due to an in flight emergency nearly 10 months earlier
