The City of Westport passed an emergency resolution Saturday closing hotels, motels and vacation home rental businesses. The move is a response to large numbers of tourists coming to the beach Saturday despite public health warnings to stay home.

Gov. Jay Inslee closed all K-12 schools in the state beginning Tuesday, March 17 through at least April 24. Aberdeen Schools Superintendent Alicia Henderson asks families and staff to be patient while plans are put in place. Staff will be working through the weekend, she said.
