In yesterday’s Westminster Hall debate on
#FreeSchoolMeals
I paid tribute to the fantastic efforts of
@MonksdownSchool
pupils & urged all politicians & the Govt to view universal provision as an investment in our children, rather than a cost.

A day full of tears and laughter today... goodbye, and lots of love and luck to a very special Head Teacher, colleague and friend. We’ll miss you, Mrs Gough! 🌟🌟🌟🌟
We loved having our flying visitors today. They were very well behaved and only pooed a little bit as they left. Thank you for all the families who queued up in the cold to get a photo and a sneaky stroke. We’d love to see your pics!
Lots of excited teachers in school today... we’re so looking forward to having the Monksdown family back where it should be tomorrow. See you soon! 👍👍👍
To the parents and carers who were able to wear face masks when dropping off and picking up from school today: we know it’s not ideal, especially in the hot weather, and we really do appreciate your cooperation... thank you so much! 👍😁😷
What a busy, and very different, year! Thanks to the pupils, parents and staff - our whole happy Monksdown team, especially Mrs Annal, Mr Crane, Ms Jones, Mrs Cox, Mrs Lancaster, Ms Haigh and Ms Rigby, who will always be part of the Monksdown family. Have a fabulous Summer break.
A huge well done and thank you to our amazingly resilient pupils and our fabulously supportive parents. We’re humbled by your enthusiasm and dedication. Have a relaxing weekend... no Home Learning allowed! 💜👏🏼👏🏼
A socially distanced gathering for a special occasion... we’re saying ‘goodbye and good luck’ to Mrs Annal, who is retiring this week! We couldn’t have our traditional shindig, but we’re glad we got to say goodbye to a much loved teacher, colleague and friend! 🥂
We are so proud of Adam and Billy who were presented with a Good Citizenship Award at St George's Hall this week. Two very special boys, well deserved! 👋🏼👋🏽👋🏾👋🏼👋🏽
We are proud to report that all 4 of our wonderful jumpers are safe on the ground! We are so unbelievably proud of them and the passion they have for the children of Monksdown

Somehow clicking ‘like’ isn’t enough... we need a LOVE button! 💙💛❤️ What a fabulous surprise, and what a treat to see your lovely little faces. Thank you, wonderful Monksdowners! You’ve made a lot of worried teachers and staff very happy. 🥰🥰

What a year... exciting, busy, successful! Thank you and well done to every member of the Monksdown family, including those we adopted along the way! Have a fabulous Summer break. See you all in September! X
Learning Ladybirds made their final trip of the year to Croxteth Park to discover the changes that summer brings. Reception have visited the park in every season, and found each one to be equally beautiful. We love Croxteth Park!

Well done to our amazing pupils and
@FerriganA
who have just been featured in an ITV programme tonight on child poverty! You all smashed it. We are so proud!
Today two incredibly amazing, kind and talented parents cleared out this disused area and created a fairy garden for our KS1 pupils. We can’t wait to explore and create lots of stories and role play around this enchanting area. Thank you!

What a busy and successful year! Thank you to the children, parents and staff - our whole happy Monksdown team, especially Year 6, Mrs Usman and Mrs Gough who will always be part of the Monksdown family, wherever they are. Have a fabulous Summer break. See you in September!
R.2 enjoyed a magical winter walk
@CroxtethHall
park. They hunted for seasonal changes, had a picnic, and visited their favourite tree to find that all the leaves had gone! They’ll be back soon to look for signs of Spring!
@LiverpoolParks
School is officially out! Now to start thinking about September... there are special messages from your new Class Teachers on the school website, along with information about your new classrooms. Find them under the ‘Class Transition’ tab! 👍👍👍
Hello Monksdowners!
Since we have been missing you all so much, we’re going to share some of our favourite stories with you. Lovely to save for bedtime!
Today’s story: ‘Not Enough for Queen Fluff’ read by Mrs Balmer.
Enjoy 💜
