As an advocate who worked specifically with LGBT youth, can confirm. Religious foster agencies are an absolute hell for these kids & should be barred from the process. They are abusive homes. Period. They should not be receiving taxpayer money in the first place.

Literally this was the ER I was placed in Friday night to wait testing. Think it used to be an infusion center. Curtains separated me, immune compromised, only allowed a baggy surgical mask, and dozens of patients in one giant room. Magic curtains keeping us safe.

Been feeling like I'm the one that's the problem lately. The one with the compromised immune system needing a safe environment for care. My fault. I'm the crazy one. 😷. Why are we forced to beg for basic standards of care given to less common pathogens like MRSA?.
I have been having a private battle with a hospital to provide a safe environment within the oncology treatment space for me to receive my IV treatments. Around December they removed majority of the air filters and went back to baggy blue masks. #CovidIsNotOver #DavosSafe.

This is the primary reason I have my partner handle my medical phone calls, and deal with insurance needs. I am led on wild goose chases and flat out denied care for YEARS. He calls and gets them to send me meds by end of week.
One of the most fascinating transition-related changes I have experienced as a disabled white man is how much it has diminished the administrative burden related to my medical care relative to when I was perceived as a woman. .

@RealGayArbys I have had similar struggles. I got a halo strap with my @flo_mask, it holds on to the crest at the top of my head and never moves. The mask itself fits above the chin, so when i talk it naturally is supported. It's really the best sealing, most comfortable I've found so far.
