My little league manager Tom Dukes taught me how to spin the baseball ⚾️ when I pitched for him my 10 year-old season. I used the same pitch when I pitched professionally with the Silver Bullets. This was a 13U pony all-star game in the early 80’s.

I have been saying it’s all in the approach and at the higher levels great hitters adjust and do have a two strike approach. You still can hit a HR with it on the right pitch I will add.

My love for the game ⚾️ began with my wiffle ball bat & ball and playing catch with my dad. At 6 I brought home a flyer for Arcadia Coast Little League try-outs and as the saying goes, it’s not how you start but how you finish 🙂. The catcher is almost as tall as I was 😆.

If I may add, this approach allows you to hit the inside pitch fair and far if done correctly. Let it travel, outside pitch back up the middle to opposite foul line. That to me sounds like hitting 🤷🏼♀️.

He tweeted he was a former A player himself. From my experiences anyone who came at me with “the girl” card felt threatened by my abilities on the ball field. There were many minor league players bothered by us Silver Bullets 🤷🏼♀️. Personally it just pumped me up on the field 🙂.

I can’t wait 🙂. Young players, there is so much information you can get from learning from those who came before you. To get to the highest level you have to have “it” and that it includes many perspectives and a variety of the “why.” Take it all in and grow.
