Finished up our line rugs with the fringe! The artists were so proud of their work. On to the next project!

Mess free painting fall leaves! Red and yellow combine to make orange! My special needs students calmed down right away. The amount of concentration and focus was unbelievable.

We started using oil pastels in our sketchbook to practice our first project! The students really enjoyed the pastels and only a few got their hands messy.

Sketchbooks arrived and are all labeled and color coded! Can't wait for students to start practicing their art skills in them!

The first element of art we're learning about are lines. The gen. ed classes have been working on tracing and drawing different lines in preparation for their next art piece! We've been concentrating and doing our best. It's ok to make mistakes and use the eraser to try again.

Figuring out the skills of my special needs students has been a slow process but we got grit! We started with lines and to practice their fine motor skills, I had them place sticky dots on the matching line. It was a success and many kept their focus until the task was done! 🎉

Materials are organized and ready for the students to start creating! Color coded labels helps keep supplies in order and groups responsible. 👍

Our final assembly was from The Kite Connection! Students learned about different kinds of kites, the history, and kite safety. Later, they got to make their own! What a great way to end the year! Thank you @davethekiteguy @PtaNoble

We're getting a new playground! First, the old one had to be removed. Some students spent their whole recess just watching as construction workers sawed, hung, kicked, and hammered pieces off. It's bittersweet. We're sad to see something go but excited for what's to come.

Come visit campus tomorrow! We've got our Goodwill Donation Drive going from 9-2 and a special Art Day with activities and watching a live muralist from 10-1! He already started today!

The students had a great time at the Math Festival! We had 5 new puzzle games that challenged everyone and even the teacher! Thank you @theJRMF !

There's a lot going going on at school this month. Thank goodness for BOGO pizza during Teacher Appreciation. Thank you for dinner and lunch @MODPizza !

Wow! What an amazing assembly by StuntMasters Inc! They showed us some jaw-dropping tricks while teaching us how to be safe on our bikes and taking care of our school and community. Thank you @StuntMasters and @PtaNoble Everyone had a great time!

Wow! Have you seen a rainbow in, and only in, a cloud??

For our last Art class with San Jose Museum of Art, we got to do print making! Students drew a design, transferred it to a styrofoam sheet, then rolled on paint. It was a really neat lesson!

What an amazing day at Cal Academy! The sun was shining bright and it wasn't too crowded! The students got to see lots of exhibits up close and not worry about crowds.

Thanks to @ianlendler for visiting us and sharing his tips for writing a book! It was an exciting Read Across America event and the students had such a great time. Thanks also to @MrsRyanLibrary @PtaNoble

It was such a pleasure meeting and having @TheBryanStow visit and listen to his message of being kind to others and being an upstander. What an amazing story of hope, grit, and staying positive during horrible times. It definitely got the students thinking and discussing.
