Who knew the bottom of a leaf could look so cool!? Today in Science 8A, our kiddos looked at the epidermal and guard cells of an inch plant! The guard cells open and close the stomata, to regulate gas exchange and water loss! 🪴🔬 @IslandtreesMMS

Who knew yeast was good for more than just baking bread?! This week in Science 8A, students learned about enzymes and how they can speed up the rate of chemical reactions! In this phenomenon, yeast used catalase to break down hydrogen peroxide to create an awesome reaction! 🧪

We had a great VOLUME of fun and a MASSIVE amount of learning these past two days in Science 7A! These kiddos found the density of nine different objects and then compared each of these densities to the density of water! The work ethic of these students is immeasurable! 📏

Today marked day one of our Egg Drop Lab for Science 7A! Today, students planned how they will engineer an egg carrier (with a constraint of only $50 for materials) that will protect an egg while it is dropped from a second story window! 🥚 @IslandtreesMMS @BethRoemerIT
