I read somewhere that the reason black people scatter when they laugh collectively is because that's what slaves would do in order to avoid causing a commotion. Not sure how true that is but its interesting 🤔
@Tribbzthecool
It became common practice to stick their heads into a barrel just to release their laughter in silence. Hence the phrase "a barrel of laughs"

At this point RocketMoney needs to cut me a check because that is my go-to answer for these types of questions. If you're a visual person like me then it helps tremendously to be able to see and track everything in one place.

That last line was the real tea. "What people think is acceptable on social media is what they think is acceptable in real life". BEWARE 👀

Sorry but I’m wondering how a former homeless person is now going to afford to keep an apartment. Did he just give her a recurring bill??
@MojoDisco
This was lowkey triggering. Jon did an awesome job of not allowing the gas lighting, semantics, and deflection deter him from the actual point 👏🏿👏🏿

Your passions find you for a reason. It’s up to you to find a way to make them all work together. The clues may come in pieces over time but eventually everything will just click. Be patient with yourself.

This isn't where I initially read it but this is very interesting as well. Slaves were not allowed to laugh on many plantations.

I love when these types of places go viral but at the same time I'm just praying that they have the infrastructure to withstand an influx of customers like that 🙏🏾😬
You couldn’t have told me even 2 years ago that I would be adamantly wearing a full afro on the Paris Fashion Week Runway. Going natural has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made 💆🏾♀️👑. Wear your crown. Wear it proud.

Appreciate the info but this doesn't scare me. None of it does. Giving birth is the most selfless, transformational experiences a woman can undergo. If any of the negative possibilities scare you off then you are not ready spiritually.

Even if she was seeking a man making at least 100k. Calling her a "gold-digger" would imply that she doesn't have her own gold or more...

Omg am I crying?? When that beautiful little girl with her natural fro walked in to see her mom overjoyed at an act of love from her father?! I'm sorry it's the principles for me.
All black everything. Black beauty, black owned wine, black owned fashion brands, chilling at a black owned winery. Shout out to Akilah Releford for putting on an amazing event. Prepare to be sick of me and all this content.

No. Reagan passed a bill that closed mental facilities in Los Angeles. Most if not half of that population is mentally ill and suffering the consequences of said bill.

it looks like you just managed to find your light and perfect pose in the iPhone photo. The first two weren’t quite it but girl when you found it. YOU FOUND IT. 🙌🏾

This is exactly why when I had the opportunity I started bring black hairstylists and makeup artists with me for Paris Fashion Week. It was either that or a wig for me.
@ehimeora
Every morning lately Ive been thanking them for their sacrifices, their dreams, and their prayers. Telling them that it won't be in vain on my part.
Just started wearing my (4c) natural hair to work recently. I feel way more empowered wearing my natural hair than when I am masking it with a wig to appease those around me. But I also realize that I'm blessed to have a work environment that makes me feel comfortable to do so.
It takes a LOT of confidence, self love, and acceptance to wear your 4C natural hair in it’s shrunken natural state. You know why?? Cuz people don’t like that shit.
Like. Let’s stop pretending
