Andrey's passing is huge loss to the peatland research community and to Mires and Peat where he was an Associate Editor for many years. However, he leaves behind an incredible peatland legacy. May he rest peacefully. 🙏🙏🙏
On 17.05., the Russian peatland scientist & conservationist Andrey Sirin unexpectedly died in St. Petersburg. Andrey was Head of the Institute of Forest Science, @IPCC_CH author, #GPA lead author, long-term #IMCG member and associate editor of "Mires and Peat". He will be missed.
