Greymuzzle fur-fan from Southern California -- who was raised in Vancouver BC. Would-be writer and musician. Big MUSTELID fan. Sometimes NSFW, so 18+ pleeze.

When we first started putting together furry-themed conventions, one of the early meet-ups we created was called "Furgonomics", where we would sit around and discuss how everyday objects might function in a world of anthropomorphic people.
For those who can't make it to Mark Merlino's memorial on Saturday (12:30 pm pacific time), we're going to live-stream it on YouTube and have a portal hooked up to VR Chat. Keep your eyes on our socials and we'll put up a link early on Saturday!
Our family trip to Portmeirion for World SF Con in 1987. From L to R, Rodney, me, Ken Sample and Andre Johnson (standing) Our folk-rock album dropped that year. :)
For those who don't know, my life-mate
@sysable
and I don't really have a date for the start of our time as a couple -- we sort of discovered it in retrospect. So instead, we celebrate the day we met as our anniversary. That would be today. Happy 42 years, my love.
Turning Red does a great job of portraying that time of early adolescence when your sexuality is there, but it's more goofy than erotic. Especially to you.
I wanted to share this touching moment.
@Reo_Grayfox
was telling me his story, and said those lines while staring straight into his fursuit's eyes. Hearing personal stories like this makes you appreciate the vastly diverse reasons why the furry fandom is essential to so many.
Being an American Citizen, of course I have this little voice now and then that says "You ought to run for political office!". But then I have this other little voice that gently reminds me I'm a bisexual vegan libertarian pagan furry fan who might be on the autism spectrum.
I love "family friendly" fantasy comics. "Yes the characters hack each other up with swords and ka-zap each other into oblivion, but don't worry -- your kids will never see a nipple".
Unfortunately we have to CANCEL our monthly Prancing Skiltaire house party this month. Two of our inhabitants have tested positive for COVID. Fortunately, Sy and I tested negative. We'll try again in March, hopefully.
So our first new movie, first animated movie, AND first furry movie of 2023 was The Amazing Maurice. Saw it locally, and I declare it sincerely worthwhile.
Some time ago, I made Rocket Raccoon costume. I LOVE that character and I am really happy that
#GuardiansoftheGalaxyVolume3
was such an awesome movie, it didn’t disappoint!
Here’s a little memory of how I made the costume 😁
@HugoThePinkCat
Way Back When, the idea behind fur suit parades was to get more suits out and about through the Den of Dealers, so that dealers who are stuck behind their tables could see the costumes. Somehow over time, we forgot that.
This month's art (by Raspberries) for the
@DisneyZootopia
fan project Wilde-Hopps calendar of 2023. My firs thought was "*Gasp!* Carrots! That's French!!"
I must admit I'm getting tired of normies who insist on referring to good -looking furry characters as "strangely sexualized funny animals". What, pray tell, is strange about it?
They didn't have STEM magnet schools when I was a kid. I would have loved that.
They didn't have arts & music magnet schools when I was a kid. I would have loved THAT.

@renegade_roo
I learned that I'm bisexual when I looked back at my younger days and realized I had fallen in love with Robin Hood AND Maid Marian. As in, the foxes.

Say what you will about
#furryfandom
. I'll say this and stand by it: In every nation on Earth, from the "best" to the "worst", you will find a Furry Community. Not just furry fans living there. A Furry Community.

@Vela_Aurelia64
I wanted to do an adaptation of Bored of the Rings where a scruffy dude pops his head up and says to the audience, "Yo! It's me, Tim Benzedrine! I'm not in the movie! It's tradition!"
Basically, at this point I've had it with bio-pics, even (or especially!) for people I'm interested in. I'm sick of watching an interesting movie, then going to IMDB and finding out that over 50% of what I just saw didn't actually happen that way.
@AshCoyote
Honestly, I was scared to death for you two, until I remembered you had moved. I am heartbroken over this. At the very least I hug you tightly in my heart.
Furry artists with uncommon species fursonas wouldn't be afraid of making merch of their species if they like it. Yes wolves, foxes, dogs, felines, hyenas are popular but there're others with uncommon species who'd be happy to find some merch of their species. I want moar gulo
Visiting
#Disneyland
with the life-mate, for the first time in more than two years. I know these days I really, really don't like the Disney Company, but... *sigh* I'm here, and the magic hasn't left.
If you're going to Further Confusion, we're hosting two events at our room in the Hilton: The Saturday Morning Cartoon Breakfast (9 am), and the ConFurence Retro Furry Party (8 pm Saturday). Look for flyers to get the room #. Hope to see you there!
